SOURCE: where are the fuses in

THE MAIN FUSE BOX IS LOCATED UNDER A COVER WHICH IS IN THE CENTER CONSOLE (BY YOUR FEET IF YOU ARE SITTING IN FRONT). THERE IS ANOTHER FUSE BOX THAT IS LOCATED UNDER THE HOOD (RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR BATTERY).

SOURCE: saturn shifter linkage

The bushings on ebay work from what I understand, but a bit pricey. The bushing in question is a P.O.S. for sure. Easy fix though if you have tools and time. First I drilled out the ball that the end of the linkage, the one your faithfull broken bushing use to ride on. popped a 3/8 inch bolt thru the drilled hole, put a piece of 3/8 inch heater hose "cut to length desired" over the bolt ( this is what the linkage ring rides on ) put a rubber gromet or rubber washer that has a hole big enough to fit over the heater hose on each side of the linkage ring ( oh and dont forget the lube - regular grease will eat rubber so use good judgement). put a washer big enough to keep your gromet or rubber washer from falling off, and then a lock nut, and I cannot stress the fact that it has to be a lock nut. DO NOT tighten the living **** out of everything, that little linkage ring is plastic after all just tighten it "lightly snugish" and just make sure your lock nut can't be un-tightened by hand. I hope all of this makes sense, anyway total repair cost- one hour of my time, about $4 of parts at the local auto parts store. best of all, it should outlast the car. Oh fyi, I used rubber parts because that is less likely to break the plastic linkage ring. Showed what I did to a mechanic in town, said now he actually knows what to do next time one of those f-ing saturns comes in with busted linkage. Good luck fellow "manual" saturn owners!

It is probably a vacuum-controlled device; look for vacuum leaks under the hood or a ruptured vacuum reserve canister; the connectors are often fragile and break off.

SOURCE: muffler strap broken on 2001 saturn sc1 series how

Part is a dealer only part. There is 2 pieces to it. The strap is all you should purchase. The other part disconnects via a treaded bolt through the rubber mount above the muffler. Loosen the bolt/clamp on the muffler first this will give you the room to reach above the muffler with good lighting.

Fuel pump not getting signal from PCM

First make sure all grounds are good. There is a ground going from the pcm to the engine. Many chevy engines had a pcm ground connected to the thermostat bolt. Not sure about the Saturn. A common problem is that someone replaces the thermostat, and forgets to reattach the ground, or to tighten the ground securely. If the car was worked on recently, I would suspect a loose ground.

2001 Saturn sl fan not working wiring not relaying voltage. Temp sensor new, fan works if hot wired. But don't want to use this way because still a problem. New temp sensor new relay, and radiator, still...

The line is continuity... it completes the ground signal back to the pcm. Then the fan is turned on. Problem most likely, connector needs replaces going to sensor... common problem. Be watchful when placing new connector on once you have spliced the new one on, since there is only one way that it fits in and might cause damage if forced in the wrong way.
