Why is chevy impala 2002 dash lights flicking security light battery light and sevice vehicle soon light on? dash noise clicking? checked battery and altenator all came out fine? someone says wires maynot br grounded? i need help please!!! mother of 4 cant afford my car to break down.

dash lights are bulbs,soldered into the printed circut board.
Can't be replaced. I wired an led light into the dash light circut
at the plug in at the cluster.

If the battery has gone dead, it could cause the security system to go into full lock-up mode. If it has locked up the accessories will work after the battery is charged back up , but the power to the starter will be cut off and it wont turn over. You need to do the 30 minute learn procedure. A GM dealer will print it out for you and you can do it yourself. It's very simple if you follow the procedure exact. hope this helps and good luck.

Try under the dash, attached to colum is a switch that the rod goes into from your ignition key switch, that may need to be adjusted tword your steering wheel just a touch, they go out of alignmnet from time to time

if you recently replaced the battery and are continuing to have this issue, i suggest that you clean the battery terminals.

obviously your car is getting power (fast clicking indicates this) so you will need a good battery jump. also check your cables, sometimes your cables may not supply sufficient power for the recharge
