Check the fuse box, a couple of fuses might've shorted. Grab the Owner's manual and see what fuses have to be replaced. If they keep shorting out, take your car to a mechanic to check the electrical system.

Instrument panel 2010 grand marquis why does only my gas gage work

Hello. It seems the PCM unit on your car is defective/malfunctioning. On some vehicle makes and models, the PCM and ECM are 'integrated' in one unit. Other vehicles, there are separated. The PCM controls circuits like the ones you stated. I'd have the PCM 'checked' first then go from there. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Need help from Cadillac expert. I have 2001 Cadillac Seville SLS with intermittent electrical control problems.

The most likely culprit for the gauges would be a connector at the back that needs cleaning with contact cleaner. However with the issues with door locks and gas/trunk locks, I am going to guess the Body Control Module. For jobs like this, you really need a good auto-electrician or our Expert Jeff Armer. I'll try and tag him.

2008 Pontiac g6. why does my thermostate gauge not working, replaced the thermostate and sensor about 2 months ago. now gauge not working again

Are any DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's stored in any module ? BCM - body control module , PCM - engine computer ,IPC etc.... It's the temp. gauge not thermostate gauge Did it work after replacing the thermostate an coolant temp sensor ?
Engine Coolant Temperature Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine coolant temperature as determined by the engine control module (ECM). The IPC receives a serial data message from the ECM indicating the engine coolant temperature. The engine coolant temperature gage defaults to 38°C (100°F) if:
• The ECM detects a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of serial data communications from the BCM.

The first thing too do would be to hook up a factory or some other type of professional scan tool an see what the temp. sensor is telling the engine computer an if the BCM is showing the same temp. data . And is that info. getting to the instrument cluster . Knowledge of how it all works an proper diagnostic technique is the key to finding the problem .
If the IPC is see same temp the engine computer is an the gauge isn't working something is wrong with the gauge itself. New instrument cluster would be needed .

My 2004 Pontiac grand am se1 acts like door is open and interior light stays on also does t lock on its own when in gear and lights don't blink and horn not honk when locking with key bob

Door ajar switch problem more then likely or wiring issue . The BCM - body control module won't turn off interior light , let door lock because it think's the door is open . The door ajar switch is a input to the BCM .

The first thing would be to have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Also check with an enhanced scan tool to see if the BCM shows ajar switch data (open or closed ? Do you know about body electronics ?

Where is the tempature guage sensor

The temperature gauge sensor as you call is for more then just the temperature gauge . The temp. sensor is an input to the PCM -engine computer ! If it were bad you would have drivability problems , the transmission would not shift correctly an the check engine light would more then likely be lit .
Engine Coolant Temperature Gage
The IPC displays the engine coolant temperature as determined by the PCM. The body control module (BCM) receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the engine coolant temperature. The BCM converts the engine coolant temperature into a percent gage deflection. The IPC receives a message from the BCM via the serial peripheral interface (SPI) indicating the requested gage position. The engine coolant temperature gage defaults to 38?°C (100?°F) or below if:
?€¢
The PCM detects a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor circuit.

?€¢
The BCM detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM.

?€¢
The IPC detects a loss of SPI communications with the BCM.

Your gauge is more suspect then the sensor . gm had a problem with stepper motors that control the pointer for the gauge !

Engine light came on and now the temperature gauge runs up and down fast and vehicle heats up faster. 1997 v8 explorer

If coolant passages in lower intake manifold and there is a gasket problem, air might get into the system and air in cooling system can cause issues with temp gage. Just my opinion.
I can't see your vehicle, so I can't comment on the problem. I'm just saying how it possibly could effect your temp gage.

Air conditioner comes on briefly then stops. The temperature gage on the panel which shows outside temperature is inaccurate sometimes giving a display of -27 degrees.

Well the outside temperature gauge is generally not wired into the a/c. The internal temperature is more important but is not displayed as such. The 'internal' temperature sensor is used to regulate the a/c blending door and blower speed.

When did the cooling problem start?
