The button in the glove box is so that you can keep the trunk locked and the glove box locked if you are using valet parking and have something valuable in the trunk. The actual trunk release is on the left hand side of the steering wheel low on the dash under the gas door release or the low speed non slip switch for snow. Does your Key fob unlock the trunk? If not push the black button in your trunk and try it again. If that does not work, you will have to check the fuses under the hood on the drivers side. Lexus wants you to have your car serviced at the dealer so the inside of the box is not clear or much help to as to which fuse goes to what electrical function. It will tell you the amp-age but little else. Your owners manuals have diagrams but do not cover a majority of which fuses power what.
All cars have an FSM
buy one,
no oper. guide shows the full power distribution, non
buy one
or login to alldata.com,
there are only 2 ways to do fuses
RTM read the FSM . see that some fuses 1, runs 20 things,(park is like that)
or test every freakn fuse. (not just look, test them)
2 ways, I use a voltmeter and test them live
see 12v both sides, key on.

you have to have a main key. you may be able to remove the panel and release that way. under dash. pull cable.
SOURCE: keys locked in trunk - trunk release inside car
Older style cars did not always have remote trunk release. Call dealer ask if remote trunk release equipped. Rear seat can be removed but, trunk access is not guarantied. Recommend getting a replacement key made with vin and title.
