Hi, personally ..i love that bakkie. Ok you changed points condensor, petrol filter! please check.. When it cuts out 1. if the ignition coil is not hot, if so thats your problem.2. also on the carb... over the needle and seat there is a tiny filter... somtimes gets blocked. 3. also check when it stolls if the fuel pump is not hot or pull the outlet fuel from the pump
and crank the engine... note if fuel comes out sufficiently.

SOURCE: rough idle, dies when trying to give it gas

it'll either be your ignition system (spark plugs, distributor cap, etc) or more likely your fuel system (most likely your fuel pump or your fuel filter)

sounds like might have bad fuel pump. take fuel line off see if it has pressure. the pump should come on if key is turned on without cranking it. or it can be the mass air sensor. it can't monitor the load.

SOURCE: at low rpm engine dies

Normally this is due to a defective Mass Air Flow Sensor. Install a known good sensor and test drive to see if it repairs the concern. There are no test to check an Mass Air Flow Sensor. Bad ones will check good.

The MAF sensor is just about dead. Replace it and it should be fine again.

2008 Nissan Champ 1400 is jerking and cuts off when I accelerate to 50 kph. After it cut off it take time to start again.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to Nissan.

There is some ideas in the link, but you need to find someone in South Africa that has a scan tool computer. Dirty injector from bad fuel is the most likely. Check the spark plugs as well.

Hi i am driving a nissan 1400 champ bakkie what is the problem when i drive it starts to jerk and when i came to a stop it just cut out then i must start agian and when i tri to selerite feels like wind it...

There is something wrong in the fuel or air supply side. This could be due to various reasons but the most probable one is the improper mixing of air with fuel. So, one has to check the air filter may be it requires cleaning. Next is fuel and air mixer and injector part which of course calls for a mechanic as it might require tuning also.

I have a nissan 1400 champ 95 model. When i drove home bakkie starts to miss like it dont get petrol but if ref high the miss is gone, when low it dies.I have clean it and put new gaskets, still the same

Ignition modules have two sections--a low speed section and a high speed section. Tests of these often are not accurate, so replacement is the only real test.

Nissan 1400 Champ. What is causing it to backfire and jerk?

sounds like a fuel supply fault. With backfiring it can be attributed to a faulty ignition component of a bad fuel air mix...you will probably need the services of a good Nissan mechanic to diagnose and
rectify the problem but it is almost certainly not very serious at the moment from what you describe. Have it seen to before it develops into something worse is what I advise.
