All of these issues are electronic, you need and auto -electrician that know his way around his $5,000 Pro Grade Scan Tool computer. A mechanic is not the person you need, oil changes, new brakes, new exhaust, engine tune, sure..
What type of problem are you having? Make sure that all battery connections are clean and tight. Then with a test light check the fuse box. Do the fuses that get power when the key is on light up? Does the radio come on when the ignition in turned to on? Does the Air conditioner fans work when the key is in the on position? Does the starter crank over when you turn the key to the crank position?
Hi, Yes you have an air lock in your system, you may get this sorted by 1/. Removing one of the cooling hoses & try to blow with air.
2/. Drain all the system then put your heater on inside the vehicle & have the engine running & refill the system Start to do this from a cold engine. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.
I just got my g5.... and it was doing the same thing. But when it did it, the traction light always came on. So when i took it back they serviced the traction and cleaned some kind of Ir intake valve on the car. But it continue chuggin. but look.... when i needed my air for a hot day... it started to over heat. My dad replaced my fan fuse... it stopped... now when my fan comes on it lurches forward and sometime chugges... replaced the fan... it chugges no more..... your fans is workin on its last leg. Go to andys.com and buy u a 30 dollar fan.... itll help. Its been about four months and no chuggin...whoo whoo tell me how it goes
The thermostat is at the back near the transmission, just to let you know the water pump you have may be the one that has the plastic propellor they known to always fail.
The fan should not run when the engine is cold it should only run when the engine comes to a middle guage of heat
get the radiator checked for the clotting
Your tempature sensor was probably the reason why your vehicle overheated but as far as hooking the fan to fuse to the motor isnt a bad thing its the same as installing a after market electric fan it will just keep your engine cooler.
the cooling fans are run by a relay it's located in the junction box. check this. there is also a thermoatic sensor located near the fans next to radiator. the fans should free spin when the engine is off this is a good indiacator that it's not the fan themselves. if the relay checks out(run engine and switch the fan relay with the a/c clutch relay when the engine reaches 180 degrees you will feel the upper radiator hose get hot the fans will turn on a short time later iof they don't it's the temp sensor near the radiator if they do it's a bad relay...please rate this thanks
