Should be attached to the top of the transmission tunnel under the center console, if I remember correctly.

SOURCE: Airbags deployed

You have to disconnect the battery, replace the air bag modules (air bag modules are the things that explode in your face) and the crash sensors and the control unit or module that came with it. Reconnect the battery and the car should start. Hope this is helpful.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS airbag problems

The passenger side airbag is a lot easier then driver side. Take the glove box out and you will see two 10mm bolts holding it in place. When you open the passenger side front door, remove the panel on the side of the dash and you will see yellow connectors. The 1 closest to the front is attached to the air bag, it is clipped into the frame. Just pull it loose and take it out and your done. For the Driver side, it takes a skinny T27 to remove the two star bolts, then just disconnect the horn red clip and ground and install new airbag. The module is located under the passenger seat, underneath the carpet. Kinda stupid but thats where its at. You also need to replace the front impact sensor located behind the grille on the back side of the metal bar to each side. Follow the hood latch down. Also just to make sure, you know to disconnect the battery before you do all this. You don't want new airbags to accidentally deploy.

SOURCE: airbag light stay on 2003 chevy tahoe

The air bag light will remain illuminated if a fault has been detected in the air bag system.
The onboard computer will need to be interfaced with diagnostic equipment to read the fault.
This is also the only way to reset the light.
Good luck, I hope this helped.

Need help with Unresponsive Driver Side Power Seat Controls and SRS Air Bag Warning Message on 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i

If you are experiencing unresponsive driver side power seat controls and an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbag warning message on your 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i, it could be caused by a few different issues, such as:
  1. Faulty seat control module: The seat control module is responsible for controlling the power seat functions. If it is faulty, the seat controls may not work and the airbag warning message may appear.
  2. Wiring issue: A damaged or corroded wire connection can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  3. Sensors issue: The seat and airbag system rely on a variety of sensors to function properly. If any of these sensors are malfunctioning, it can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  4. Airbag module: The airbag module is responsible for controlling the airbags in the vehicle. If it is faulty, the airbag warning message will appear.
It's best to have a professional technician diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by replacing a faulty module, repairing or replacing damaged wiring or sensors, but in some cases the repair may be more complex.
It's important to note that the airbag warning light should be taken seriously and repaired as soon as possible, as it can indicate a problem with the airbag system that could affect the safety of the vehicle in case of a collision.

2020 Chevy Tahoe Z71. Do I need to replace my airbag module?

Question edited for clarity, 'year make model' first.

This is one job, I would not do myself. The airbags are extremely dangerous if they go off, even if just reconnecting the battery. I would replace the impact sensors. Not sure if they are resettable, but I would replace anyway.

Often, having the sensors reset and recalibrated is adequate. However, when the airbag does deploy, there's more to do than just replace the airbag.

Removal of 2008 Prius steering wheel -

with a small flat screwdriver, remove the 2 by 2 inch black plastic covers behind the steering wheel. one of them has a hole for the cruis control lever.
loosen but dont remove the two torx screws behind these covers.
allow the airbag to fall out into your hands.
carefully raise the two yellow retainers on the airbag wires, then pull the wires away from the airbag module.
then squeeze and pull the black horn wire from the airbag.
to replace the steering wheel, unplug all the wires you see and remove the 19mm nut holding the wheel.
then by hand wiggle the steering wheel toward you.

Airbag alarm

This should be for the passenger side airbag. If an adult is sitting in the passenger side seat and there is a light that says airbag off then you have a problem either with the passenger side airbag or with the passenger side seat detector. Start up the car and sit in the passenger seat, buckle the seat belt and make sure the light now says airbag on. If this does not happen take car to dealer. Dealers have correct computers to enter the airbag modules to read and diagnose the fault code.
