My 2001 Kia Sportage battery drains while parked.

1- do you have aftermarket audio or alarm installed recently- if yes, that is likely the phantom drain.

2- if this just developed, does the fuel pump remain on? You can hear it running if kneel down by the gas tank. If so- relay may have fused contacts- in which case replace relay. Alternately the oil pressure switch may be stuck closed. in which case- replace the oil pressure switch- it is not the same one that controls the oil pressure gaauge or light- those are in a different location.

Recently had the oil sending unit replaced, oil pressure is still erratic.

Hi.This will indicate that there may be some sludge build up in the block, or the oil pressure switch is damaged. The more serious issue will be a failing oil pump. To isolate the issue, simply, have a oil pressure test ran on this engine. If the test indicates that the true oil pressure is optimal at idle, kindly replace the oil pressure switch. Now, if the test proves that the pressure is indeed lower than factory specifications, this will confirm that the pump is damaged. Have the pump, and oil pump screen replaced, in this case.

NOTE_ I would, also, recommend to have the engine flushed asap.

Oil indicator light keeps flashing and eventually sounds a beeping alarm. Only thing is there is the correct amount of oil in the car. Been to garage and they checked level. Is this simply a switch problem...

The only way to tell for sure is to temporarily install a mechanical pressure gauge and read the actual pressure. That will determine the next course of action--replace the pressure sensor/switch, or recommend remedial action within the engine itself (worn bearings, worn oil pump, or plugged intake screen). Hope this helps!

There is an alarm going off inside cab when I start the car - what does this mean?

Probably the oil pressure relay. Go under dash when its buzzing and locate it . Turn car off and remove it.
If its the oil pressure relay have oil pressure check by a repair shop ASAP.

What does a low oil pressure alarm mean

It means the sensor that detects your oil pressure has seen a situation where the oil pressure is too low and engine damage will result. Could be just a bad sensor, but better have it checked with a mechanical gauge to see exactly what the pressure is.

Oil pressure light keeps coming on

Check the oil level is not low, and the oil in use is of suitable grade & quality.
If it only comes on at idle, you may have a faulty oil pressure alarm sensor switch.
Either replace it, or preferably, get the engine oil pressure tested using an independant oil pressure gauge.
If it is verified that the oil pressure is indeed low, you may have to look further for other engine problems, such as worn camshaft/crankshaft bearings.

Oil pressure warning light is buzzing and i've replaced the sensor on my 94 vw golf

Could be a few things, I assume you've checked the oil level. You could have a worn engine and therefore low oil pressure, could need a new oil pump. you can connect a mechanical oil guage to check whether it is a problem with your guage
