Where is the fusible link that runs the power windows on a 96 Toyota camry?

The fuse got shorted out and now the power windows and locks will not work. I changed out the 100a that was blown but the windows still do not work. Where is another fuse that would have been blown?

Hey, the fusible link you are looking for is to the right of the fuse box under the dash behind the coin holder, you have to remove the panel that holds the coin holder you will see two 10mm bolts on the bottom and then there will be two covers towards the top, take them out with a flat tip screw driver and there will be the other 2 10mm once you take that off you will want to take the air duct piece out that is in the way, it takes some force but it will just pop out, then look to the top right corner of the fuse box and you will see a pink 30 amp fuse and that is your culprit, hope thi helps you out.

Take out the door panel then disconnect the power window motor connector. turn the key to on position then test there is any power to the connector when you push the switch up and down. if you got the power, your power window motor got fried get a new one. if no power to the connector then you need to look up more place like wires, main switch.

good luck.

SOURCE: 2006 Toyota Tacoma, power outlet/cig lighter not working

I am not sure about "fusible link", But the suggeation I can give you is to open dash or where the outlet is located and check the wires in the back of outlet with a light tester.

SOURCE: power window toyota camry

Fuse box is by drivers left knee. Above this are the flashers and about 3 inches above this is the circuit breaker for the windows and door locks. breaker is silver, about 1/2 by 5/8 inch and in the center is the button you need to push in to reset. I used an unbent paper clip to press it. Make sure unit is not energized. May need to unplug breaker first. Press in center button until it clicks.

SOURCE: where is the power window relay on a 1991 toyota camry

a relay is not going to blow the fuse. it is just basically a switch, from which a large load is controlled by a smaller load. the most likely reason that it blows a fuse is the window motor itself is shorted. replace this

My 96 Toyota Camrys windows don't go down or the

You need to see a wiring diagram to see how the ignition switch allows or sends power to that 30 amp fuse. The switch may turn on a relay (maybe the ignition relay) that sends power to the fuse panel. Or the run wire out of the switch may itself turn power on at the fuses. You may have a loose connection behind the fuse panel.
Get a test light, pull the fuse, and check for power at the fuse terminals, with key on. One terminal for the fuse should have power. If not, power is lost between the ignition switch and that fuse. If it does have power, and windows still don't work, check the wire from fuse panel to the master switch-loose or poor connections, maybe a partially broken wire. If it looks good, check the ground wire for the windows. The ground wire originates at the master switch and will go back into the cabin to a nearby ground, possibly behind the left kick panel. If still no help, someone may need a volt- ohmmeter to start checking continuity of wires, voltage drops, etc.

Power windows and door locks not working

replace the fuse,,, try operating the passenger window from the switch on the passenger door.. see if the fuse fails again...the rain wouldn't normally be a problem, these are designed to operate in wet conditions unless the thing was literally water logged.

None of my electricals work but car starts

Are you sure they all looked good under the hood? The large 50A fuse may be bad; test them, not just look at them. A fuse tester os $3 ... sometimes free with purchase of a small box of fuses.

It may also be an in-line FuseLink on the red wire.

Hope this helps!
