If the bulb is still dim when using another one, likely it is a faulty connection. A poor ground or power connection anywhere along the harness could cause a voltage drop.
If you don't have one, you can get a small tester like that from Harbor Freight, etc. for less than 10 bucks and use it for checking the line from the bulb all the way back. Check the other side and see how much voltage is going to the bulb that is working correctly as a reference.

It could be a bad headlight switch, a bad connection at the headlight or a bad ground. Make sure all connections are free of corrosion. Also make sure no after market items have been added improperly wired. Like fog lights trailer plugs etc.

Why is my Passenger headlamp dim. No other lights affected on right side.

The passenger side is grounding threw the drivers side. When you pull the drivers side light the other looses it ground. It is actually grounded threw the bulb. The reason it is dim. It could be the plug. Find the ground and run a new one to the bulb from the body.

How to change a dim light bulb on a 1997 ford expedition passenger side

If this is a head light bulb and it's dim this tells me you probably do not need to replace the bulb. It sounds like a poor connection or your ground is not grounding properly. To find out if its the ground take a piece of wire and fasten to your engine and touch it on the head light area. If the light goes bright then you know you have a bad ground.

\1991 geo metro dim headlight pass side

in low beams or high or both?
that is caused by:
1: bad held lamp. old lamps can go dim.
swap left and right, if dim follows bulb, bingo weak bulb or wrong type bulb. buy matching blubs (same brand and P/n)
2: bad wiring to lamp. damaged wires, or connectors to same.
4: bad combo switch. (if low beams)
5: bad fuse or holder, corrosion , to either.
head lamp fuses. there are 2. left and right.
6: hackers, many hackers put in wrong lights. inspect it.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and the passenger side head lamp will not come on. The fog lights and driver side head lamp works but the passenger side will not work on bright or on dim, what could this be?

Hi. Since the headlight on the driver side is working then we dont have any problem with the fuse or relay. Check the wiring and the socket of the passenger headlight if it is intact to the bulb. If it is intact, then this could be a headlight problem. Time to replace the passenger headlight.

My passenger head light went dim and i changed it to a brand new bulb already and it is still low

You got a bad ground connection somewhere.
You have a voltage drop, where you shouldn't have, and as a result the bulb is dim.
Check the bulb socket/connector and related wiring, to that head light

Right headlamp

Check the fuse for the passenger side.It is under the hood. it may not be making good contact. wiggle it a little bit and see if it makes any difference. if not, check where the the ground wires are connected to the chasis. See if thats not the problem.
