It's the bottom hose. I just changed mine this past weekend. Take the power steering pump bracket loose and fold the power steering pump back. Can get to the lower hose and thermostat housing then. Make sure to bleed the air out of the system when starting the truck after replacement of thermostat. The bleeder valve is a bolt on the housing where the upper hose attaches.
