There could be many reasons for the problem you described. To start with, please do the following:
- Remove the Negative battery terminal for 30 sec and reconnect.
- Remove the Mass Air Flow sensor. Spray a dry type contact cleaner into its nasal. Let it dry and fix it back.
- Adjust the spark plugs gaps to 0.9 mm.
- Take out all of the four Igniters and carefully examine them for any white spots or cracks. If doubtful, replace them with good known one from your friend's car, just to identify the problem. If it solves the problem, replace the igniters. If the problem persists, scan the engine and compare the live data with active data list or seek the competent professional to solve your problem.
