Gearbox oil for subaru 2007 - 2007 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Wagon

The first thing you need to check is for water contamination in the gearbox oil, if none try filling it with the correct procedure and reset adaptations, if there is water in the gearbox do not bother repairing it at a huge cost, they seldom get it right. Rather look for a good secondhand box that is the same make, the most common is the ZF6HP19

have the cv boots split check these if not check for cracks in box could be a faulty oil seal where shaft goes into gearbox

normally it is on the front side of the gearbox under the car its a blank plug

hey, it sounds like the oil level in the gearbox, it not only lubricates but it also fills servos that change the gears and if there is low oil it will take longer to gain pressure.

its sludged up on the bottom of your oil pan

With the trans warm, drain the oil for 1/2 hour and renew it with good quality oil. Any times a good time for renewing your trans oil.
