Different cars different places. look on back of fuse cover it is either on inside fuse box, or under hood fuse box. if the fuse is ok! check the relay for the horn in under hood fuse box. if that is good.disconnect wire from horn, run a wire from battery positive to the horn it self, if it works now, it is the horn relay or button in car. Good-Day!

95 GMC Sierra horn does not work, fuse keeps blowing.

the fuse blows because somewhere after the fuse , the wire is dead shorting out to ground
check / replace any horn relays

use a multimeter set on ohms resistance and that will tell you that it is shorting out as it will register as a circuit

Horn dosen't work

Check fuse. Usually located under the Steering wheel or under the hood. You will have to use the other side of the cover to determine which fuse controls the horn and see if the metal link is broken. If both are not blown its probably a short in the wire. If it randomly just happened then its a good first guess without knowing any further details.

Usually I check all my fuses any time I am looking for a specific one. Sometimes a random fuse can be the cause, and not the actual Horn fuse that is blown.

The horn won't honk. What do I need to do to fix the problem. What does it mean to have service ride control show up/

If you hear clicking near the engine compartment fuse and relay box when the horn pad is pressed, then you need to check the horn fuse,(probably have to look the location up in the owners manual) if the fuse is blown, you may have shorted out horns or a short in the wiring to the horns. Usually there are two horns for the vehicle and if you install a good fuse in the horn circuit then unplug one horn and test the operation the horn may work or the fuse will blow again. If the horn works, disconnect it and reconnect the other and retest,if the horn does not work and the fuse blows, you have found your bad horn. Good luck.

There are two main causes for Service Ride Control message - active strut failure and accelerometer failure.

I have a toyota camry 2000 and since I bought it the only horn that would work was the high tone one. All of the sudden none of them are working now. I realized that a relay on the fuse box that is under...

The click you here is the horn relay, You need to find the horns and check for power at the wire connectors. But you probably have a bad low and now a bad high not horn. since the relay clicks your fuse is good so that eliminates the fuse.

2004 Buick Century, horn quit working, replaced both horns and checked the relay (it works). The horn still does not work. Could it be the switch in the steering wheel? How do I get the cover off the...

Start by having someone press the horn while you feel the relay with your finger. If the relay clicks when the horn is pressed then the switch is working properly and your problem is between the relay and horn assembly.

I just bought a 2000 Saturn SL 4-dr sedan. It's in great shape, but the horn doesn't work and the dashboard light don't work. Is this a simple fix with replacing the fuses or dash light or is it a little...

Check fuse for horn and for dash lights. If the interior lights work then suspect dimmer switch for the dash lights. If you press the horn button do you hear a click under the hood or inside the car? If you do not then the fuse is blown and if the fuse is good then the relay may be suspected bad. If the fuse is good and the relay clicks then suspect the horn to be bad. If fuse is blown and you put a new one in and you push the horn and the fuse blows again, then disconnect the horn before replacing the fuse again. Then push the horn button and see if you hear the relay click if you hear a click the the horn is bad or wiring butmost likely the horn. If you have the horn unplugged and the fuse is good and you push thee horn button and no relay click suspect the horn button to be bad. Hope this helps.

Where is the horn fuse for 94 honda civic DX

check the fuse if the fuse is good use a test light on the wire going to the horn if it lights up when you press the horn button then the horn itself is bad if it does not light up it means no power to the horn ,check fuses first ,and make sure the horn is grounded to metal, if you run a wire from the positive terminal of the batt. and touch it to the wire going into the horn the horn should work if not bad horn

Horn not working on 1999 z28 camaro / what could

Well, it could be a fuse. Check the associated fuse, if it is ok then proceed to checking for power at the horn (it should have 12v). If the horn has power then replace the horn. If it does not then seek proffesional certified help due to the fact that the problem is going to be in the steering column or horn pad, and that will require dealing with the airbag system (which is NOT recommended) unless qualified.

Horn does not work, replaced 20amp fuse that looked broken, still not working, would it be more than the fuse. I only thought it would be the fuse because when you test the horn there is clicking sound...

If you can hear the relay clicking then the fuse is not blown and the horn button is working. The horn itself is bad or has a bad ground. My guess is you need a new horn. klaxon horns rust on the inside and at some point quit working. Buy a universal replacement as original GM horns are very expensive.
