For about the last 20 years or so, most cars are equipped not to start if you press on the gas while turning the key. This is used for diagnostic purposes. DO NOT press on the gas peddle while attempting to start a fuel injected car.

For the e36 you need a power probe in order to see if you have a power or ground problem.As for the abs problem you need to scan for trouble codes then clear them and read again then start with the present codes. You might have to run a live data to if the sensors are working properly
