Stuck oil filter housing cap on 2012 Toyota Camry hrbrid

oil filter is located under engine in a round housing, this is a paper filter so the cap to the housing must be removed to pull the filter out.

If you go to YOU TUBE ,you will see a lot of people showing
you how to change the oil on a camry I found it interesting,
never too old to learn, as I have no camry's

It appears you have a cartridge filter & that may be new to you

I would use WIX period --my choice & I cut them all open to find
the best ones

So you will need to watch the video to drain the cartridge,
buy the correct tool to remove plastic cover & use the correct oil

The oil may be Full Synthetic 5W-20 check your owners manual &
filler cap on car

I use Mobil 1 extended 5W-20 also-- on a lincoln & most hondas &
acuras also use that. Now apparently the camry

Drain radiator by opening drain plug. Undo clamp and remove radiator hose from front of engine near oil filter. Undo bolts holding the thermostat housing. Replace. Be sure to use new O-ring. Re-attach the hose. Refill the radiator through the cap. Idle and check for leaks. Cool down and check coolant level.

Not to be mean... But if you can't locate the oil filter cartrige housing, which is located beside the engine, toward the top side of the engine bay, with the round cap that has a oil can stamped on it... Maybe you should have a certified Toyota mechanic service your car. Not all cars have a visible "Spin on" traditional oil filter. Newer Toyotas (and many other new cars) have oil filtering cartriges. They are in filter housings and can be accessed via a spin on cap. (this is not the oil fill cap typically found on the valve cover. Do not fill the engine oil through the oil filter housing.) Removing these can make a large mess, requires the replacement of at LEAST one critical o-ring, and should be done AFTER the oil has been drained. Good luck
