Hi i am hoping someone on here can tell me if a vt transmission m30 will fit a vs commodore that also says m30 on the plate as i am being told it will fit and other people are saying even though it is the same type of trans it wont someone who knows please help?

THIS CAR HAS RPO , LIST BASED ON VIN AND TELLS THE 3 DIGIT COLD FOR TRANNY , ALL GM DEALER CAN LOOK UP THAT CODE

must fit and not make the TCM angry.
ask chevy maker for the fits list
or ask any transmission repair shops for the list.

a transmission, has many options by class series number.
even different RATIO'S AND LENGTH, MOUNTS AND TCM CONNECTIONS FUNCTIONS.
EXAMPLES ,NOT SAYING IT IS YOURS, ONLY CAN BE.
SERIES 4L60E (JUST A SERIES ok , UNDER STAND ?)
M30 : TRANSMISSION, AUTO 4 SPD, HMD, 4L60E, ELECTRONIC

Does is have immobilizer and alarm? Did you disconnect the battery. You need to reset.

LS1 fitted may need a modification plate

clearance using the mode buttons on a VT.VX

i hope you are a lucky person because
any commodore transmission man or auto
driven without fluid would have taken some internal damage

Otherwise seek help from one of the Holden V6 car clubs.

The service intervals are normally every 50,000 Klms, but having said that you can tell by checking the dip stick. If the color of the oil which is red, has gone to a darkish brown color, it's time to change the oil.

um yellow ? is the radiator over flow at the front of the car , you want the red one at the rear of the engine and check within 10 seconds of turning off. hope this helps

You will need to check with a salvage yard on this, they have cross reference books to tell them this.

check your in-line fuses and the wires at your starter
