Easiest way to do this is to purchase an in-expensive test light from your autoparts store, the kind that clips to a ground and has a sharp end and a light. Clip the wire onto a frame bolt then turn the taillights on. Probe the wires coming from the light assembly until the tester lights up. You cand do the same thing for each function, just do them one at a time (blinker left, blinker right, brake, ect..)

I thinking tha you are fix the CHMSL (Central High Mounted Stop Light); review the Service Manual, the section ZJ-Secc-8L-Lamps (page 7, fig. 11).

There is 2 screws located on the side when you open your tail gate by the tail light. remove these 2 screws and pull the tail light out and disconnect the wire connector. Hope this helps.
