What do youdo to access reverse light switch ?

Not sure of the exact location but it IS on the transmission. It is a two-wire connector and has a very high probability of having a black plastic connector socket on the switch itself.

It sounds like the switch, that activates the light and sensors has either become loose, or there is bad connection coming from it. Maybe you can access them from inside the vehicle, by lifting the gear shift gaiter up, or it is only accessible from underneath the vehicle.

Remove air box, locate the shifter cables coming in to the top of your transmission, Right in between the two cables kind of hiding under the piece the cable attach to is where the switch is located. You should be able to see a wire heading into that area. Mine was fairly dirty and hard to spot. I found it much easier to put the car in first gear as it provided the best access to the whole area, its right in under here:

its on top of the gearbox 2 wire connection and is not a complicated job

Buy a auto repair manual for your respective truck, or go to the Nissan dealer and ask a tech to show you where the actuator switch is located, and replace that switch. That is the only thing left to replace. That should fix it. Also you could use an Ohm meter to check the switch to see if it is bad. Also check for a broken wire when you remove the actuator switch.

Yes, there is a back up light switch, usually located at the shifter (in console). You can ask at parts store for exact location, they should have access to that info.

As regards the auto lights. Just flick the sidelights on twice in quick succession and they should work. The reverse to cancel them. Can't say about the reversing sensors......best o luck. DK.
