SOURCE: All of a sudden the driver side window will not roll up.

is it electric windows? if it has electric windows does the passenger window roll up using the switch for it on the passenger door panel? if it works on the passenger door panel and not on the driver's door panel , then your switch on the drivers door panel is bad... replace it.

SOURCE: 2001 oldsmobile alero window off track,

first remove the door panel there are three screws that need to be removed first 2 under the inside door handle and 1 on the lower left hand side behind a reflector then pull off the panel it will be held on by push clips, once inside move the plastic weather bearrer to the side ,run the window half way down you should see 2 window holding brackets pull the window up so you can drop it in the brackets, first get some black window adhesive fill the brackets with adhesive put window in brackets and roll it up and leave it up for 24 hrs.If the brackets are broken you will have to replace the whole window motor assemly which you can get on line for 89.00 not the 250.00 at dealer and you can install it yourself its easy to do.

SOURCE: driver side window control not working

The drivers side window master switch has to be checked for power coming of the switch .

The control should be replaced, but make sure your fuses are good.

SOURCE: Frozen power window

I just fixed a frozen up one on a 2002 Alero, I removed the door panel, unbolted the motor and it had a lot of pressure on it. When re-installed with no preload, the window worked fine. I lubed the tracks with silicone spray just to be safe.

I've seen this many times over the years on GM windows and still can't explain why it happens. Perhaps holding the switch in the up position too long/?

SOURCE: 1996 Oldsmobile Power Windows

If other windows work from the driver's window switches, it's the motor. With age (especially GM windows) the windows move slower and slower until they just quit. *Driver's window most commonly used so it stops b/4 other windows
If you're a do it youself'er the parts are inexpensive and you'll save a lot of money but it is time consuming. I do hope this solves your issue. All the best!

Door handle repair for Ford fusion

The door handle will not allow unlocking from the inside. This is a common problem with the Ford Fusion 2007 to 2012 and other cars. A cheap piece of plastic breaks that connects the lock lever with the door handle. You can roll down the window and unlock from the outside or hold both levers together and pull open from the inside. This is a very simple repair. Go to any of many web sites for auto parts and buy a replacement. I bought a Dorman 81702 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Interior Front Driver Side Replacement Door Handle. I popped off the lid that covers a hidden screw inside the recess of the door handle. You have to use a torque bit to unscrew the screw. I then unscrewed the torque screw holding the upper part of the door panel that is opposite the door hinge. The upper part of the door panel can be be carefully pulled away with moderate pressure allowing access to the door handle mechanism. One more bolt holds the door handle part in place. Pull out the broken door handle part, remove the locking cable and put in the new part. Reverse the process to finish up. The whole process took about 10 minutes.

I have a 2003 Tahoe which I have own from new. The driver side window (power window) wont go back up again. This will be the third time at $400 a time to fix. No other window has this problem. This window...

What was replaced the other 2 times? the regulator? did you use OEM Chevrloet parts or some other like DORMAN? Dormans are **** , but they have a lifetime warranty. OEM parts have a 1 year warranty. If it goes down but not up the switch could be bad.

Replace inside door handle drivers side

Here is a replacement part: http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-79548-Tribute-Interior-Replacement/dp/B0031GJYZW
To install the new one, remove the plastic door panel by removing the philips screws and clips that hold it in place. You should be able to pull it straight up and out. Don't put too much force on the panel, the plastic is cheap. The interior door handle should now be able to be unscrewed and replaced.

94 continental power window problem

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to pull off the seal in order to see inside the door. There should be two bolts holding down the inside guide rail and two bolts holding down the outside guide rail

Front bumper of 94 cad eldorado slipping on driver side - need to

There are 4 points of attachment for the front bumper. The nose has two long bolts that go through each of the 2 horizontal shock absorbers and screw into clips attached to the bumper reinforcement. You can access each bolt head with a long socket extension inserted in front of the fog lights.

The remaining two points of attachment are on the side of each of the front fenders, they are plastic guides that meet up with groves on the inside of the bumber sides, as you slide the bumper onto the reinforcement bumper, you line up the bumper groves with these plastic fender-mounted guides and you will reach a point where the bumper snaps in place.

I suspect the driver side bumper sliped out of the inner grove (best caes scenario), or the bumper goves cracked or the plastic fender-mounted guide cracked.

Get under the car to take a look, alternatively undo the 2 front nose bolts and remove the bumper, actually not a big job, and you will then be able to assess the problem.

Hope this helps.

How do i replace the window motor

This is a common problem with driver side window. Its just a wear and tear problem. Don't go to the dealership, the Regulator will cost you over $230. Go to Amazon.com and search for the part number which should cost you only $70-80 or so. If you go to a glass place they will charge you dealership price plus $150 per hour.
