The H1 is used for the high-beam light, whereas the H7 is used for the low-beam light. The H1 and H7 are both single-beam lights and use a single filament to create a fixed beam and have a different focus angle.

did you get a h4 or a h1 bulb . A h4 has high and low beam while a h1 has only one beam check by dipping the lights

My nearside main beam isn't working,on my freelander 2005. I have checked the fuses and they are okay and replaced the bulb and checked the fitting all looks fine, but still not workin all other front nearsides are okay (sidelight and full beam), as are the offside ones

Can I use the other face of my H1 flywheel?

Have the front half shafts(drive axles) inspected. This would be the most likely source of the issue. Let me know if you need anything else.

There is no up or down side to the bulb

by law all obd2 connecters are to be under the dash on the drivers side about center. maybe a a little left or right of the steering column
