Disconnect the battery, then crawl under the truck and locate the starter, remove the plug going to the solenoid (small brown lead w plastic clip) . then the power wire that goes from the battery to the main starter terminal (12 mm nut) locate the 2 starter bolts 14 mm and unbolt the starter and remove. install in reverse order. ON the 4 wheel drives you may need to remove the skid plates over the bottom of the engine to access the starter.

Bad starter motor drive, or damaged flywheel. Take out starter and look at the starter drive teeth and all around the flywheel..

If your radiator does not have a drain petcock, carefully release the lower radiator hose. You do not want to damage or distort the hose connection to the radiator.

I currently have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, and the clutch pedal does not return all the way. I know it is not the clutch, it is actually the spring located underneath the pedal. It is catching and not releasing after pushed.... Hope it helps.
