SOURCE: torque settings for big ends on a 97 toyota camry 220sei

On the V-6 it's 25 Nm (18 ft lbs) on the first pull and then you rotate the next pull 90 degrees using a torque angle wrench.

Checking the specifications for the four cylinder:
25 Nm (18 ft lbs) on first pull and 90 degrees
on the second pull using a torque angle wrench.

SOURCE: Torque wrench settings for a 1998 Toyota Rav4

It would seem that @ 8Nnm you were under the torque to properly seat the gasket and it blew out. Going down @ 5Nm may worsen the issue.
My manual lists 11Nm for many of the smaller bolts in the auto trans. Unless you believe that you over tightened and that's why it blew out?

Remember to evenly cross torque/tighten the bolts to get even seating. Did you use any sealant on one side of the gasket, that may help (only apply a small thin continuous sealent bead...this will help stop gasket movement and blowout)

I need the torque settings for toyota corola 1993 cylinder head torque please ?

Hi Manuel, There are a number of different engines used in the Corolla, knowing which would be a great help. The engines used in the 1993 are of the 'A' series and 'E' series. The torque for the A series is 29 nm + 90 degrees. When removing the head begin loosening from the outer bolts. When the head is off have it inspected for warpage and skimmed if it is required. Tightening any cylinder head always begins at the middle or centre and works outwards. As my friend has said, the camshaft caps are tightened to 9 nm and the inlet manifold goes to 24 nm, and the exhaust is 27 nm. The tappet cover I think is 29 nm. The tappet cover is tightened on the A series with nuts onto the plug tubes. Regards John

Hi. I am assembling a avanza 1.3 that blew head gasket. What are the torque settings for head bolt

I don't have the specs.Evenly go around to all of the head bolts and gradually torque them. 20,40 60 foot pounds.
Depending on the type of gasket you used, you may have to re-torque the bolts after it has gone through one heat cycle.
