Chain hanging down sound

I have the same problem....sounds like anyway. The sound gets really loud when I put on the brakes. It also happens when I hit a bump in the road. It really sounds like something is rubbing on something. Not the brakes...so says the mechanic. Had the front right axle replaced...not the problem either. Three mechanics have looked at it and can't figure it out. It's driving me CRAZY.. HELP

It sounds like maybe the wheel bearing is going bad and might get louder as you turn.

Check your front sprocket for missing teeth. I have broken all of them off and it would only slip at times making a horrible sound and I have also had every other tooth go missing. This is all due to a wore out chain. You need to check you chain for wear by pulling it away from the rear sprocket. If you can pull it away from the sprocket and see a fair amount of space between the teeth, replace the chain. Also both sprockets at the same time. Repost another question if more problems

Are you able to tell me where the loud banging sound is coming from?
Also when this bang happens does the car react in anyway?
Let me know and we can try to get a solution sorted for you.

you may have a vacuum leak or a restriction in the exhaust system check around under the hood to see if you can narrow down the noise. a restriction in the exhaust causes the excess exhaust to push back threw and make a whooshing noise. hope this helps

Sounds like a combo condition concerning your rear brakes and wheel bearings, if the noise was or is louder on right turns then left replace the right side wheel bearing and vice versa.Get this car to a shop however immediately as the ABS brake system may be trying to lock up the wheel that may be wobbling causing all sorts of havoc.

This sounds like a power brake motor problem. If it happened right after you got that work done I would take it back there and see what they have to say. I have heard of some of these symptoms coming from air in the brake lines. If it is the brake motor it might just be coincidence that it started happening after that work got done.

99vw beetle gets really loud past 40mph, like a

Sounds like something is caught up inside or outside the engine/transmission where a part is grinding from something reciprocating. Does the sound happen when you apply the gas without the car moving? If the sound only happens while moving then it could be suspension or transmission related. If it only happens with or without the car moving as long as you control the gas then it's probably in the engine or transmission related. Could also be a wheel bearing issue, that will be a humming sound inside the cabin. As you speed up the pitch increases and the opposite happens when you slow down.

200SX SE Nissan 1996, making weird noise on passenger side

a little tip for you...it sounds like the pads are squealing, try taking the pads out and applying a very thin film of high temperature grease on the rear of the pads (NOT TO THE FRICTION SIDE), this may seem a bit of an odd thing to do, this tip was passed down to me by an old mechanic friend of mine years ago,and it works every time for me.

Sounds like your brake calipers are locking up your tires.I had a friend with the same car that had the same problem the next stop you should make is the auto shop.I would not drive any more until you get them looked at.Its not really the car that's warming up its your brakes one way that you can tell is if you smell a really strong odor coming from your brakes. When you put it in reverse your unlocking the brakes from the drum or disc.
