How do i change a torque converter clutch solenoid on a 2000 volvo s40 automatic?

Pull the trans front cover and you will see the solenoids mounted to the valve body. NOTE: DON NOT USE aftermarket parts for any of the valves. Also use the Volvo pan sealer only. Save yourself the headaches.

Hi, I am installing a newer stereo into my 87 volvo 240dl wagon... Having trouble with a couple wires as to where they attach.

Red is for constant power, yellow is for ignition power, blue is for an electric antenna, black is ground. The others are for the speakers. - 2blue, 2green, 2purples, 2whites. If you don't have an electric antenna , don't use the wire. Also if you extra wires for the vehicle this is common. don't use them. Hope this helps. Randy

Lookin for the coolint tempiture sending unit on the motor in a 140 volvo excavator

Don't know your rig but most coolant sensors are near the inlet to the radiator and that is located at the bottom tank. They don't measure the engine temperature but do sit in the coolant stream as described.

Sounds like you have a loose connection on a battery cable. loosen the bolt and pull off each end and clean, then replace. When you clean them, make sure you get down to clean metal.
