SOURCE: i need help resetting my 94 GMC seirra's gas gage

the gas gauge is on the fuel pump assembly with in the fuel tank, you must have bumped it during reassembly. the only solution is removal. pull it out check for alignment and binding, reassemble being very careful. hope this helps.

SOURCE: Have a 1995 GMC Sierra Truck. Gas is leaking from

chances are your leaking from the gas line from your fuel tank to engine. More than likely the pressure line, but it could be your return line as well. To figure this out you would need to take your fuel tank off the vehicle, and inspect the lines. look for rust and cracks. Rust is a good sign of weakness, and chances are this is where your leak is. Hopefully this helps.

When your replaced the pump did you replace the fuel filter? You may have a fuel pump relay causing you some grief. I believe it is located in the engine compartment in the fuse center on the left inner fender. Check the relay and any related fuses. Check the electrical connection at the pump. They had problems with some of them and they would get kind of hot and distort and corrode. They have new updated ones that can be easily installed.

1998 GMC K1500 Sierra SL 4wd Truck will crank but not start I cant get any fuel

The first thing i would check is the fuel pressure. the fuel pump may be running, but that doesn't mean that it is putting out the right amount of fuel

96 gmc sierra 5.7 starter battery good. Starter clicks but won't catch. The starter has been operating slowly but usually the engine caught. Starts with a jump but the starter sounds like a 6 volt...

  • Check your starter with a multimeter for 12v reading
  • Check quality of Power cords, spark plugs cables, choke.
  • Check whether the drive belt or starter belt is loose.
  • Switched ON A\c can cause this due to a faulty stuck compressor!!

I have a 1999 gmc sierra with (as of 30 days ago cat. converter, fuel pump and filter, cap and rotor) changed in garage. regular oil changes, tune ups as of 8 mths. it has lots of cranking power, but...

If i understand you right the truck has been sitting for two years. If it has been sitting that long without running or moving the gas has turned to varnish...I suggest that you drain and refill the fuel tank, and replace the fuel filter located on/in the frame rail on drivers side.

There is a 1996 GMC Safary sitting in a driveway for 3 years, It was running before, what is the safest way to make it run again?

Depends if you kept fluids in it. If so Just try to turn it over with a new battery. You old one probably is no good. After a few turns if you have new gas in tank, it should start. I bought a Ford Ranger that sat up for 3 years and it cranked right up.
