'04 santa fe V6 2.7 AWD. Runs fine 5 days straight. Sits from Fri-Sun unused. On Sunday when I go to fill up for the week of driving, I have a hard time starting. Once started, Rpms wont go any higher than 3000rpm and no faster than 20-25 mph without sputtering out. I pull over, shut it off. Pump gas pedal 3-4 times, car starts right up and no more problems. What is this? Not only that, when I bring it to the mechanic,he looks at me like I have 2 heads? Please help

I have a 2007 HYundai Santa Fe had hub bearing changed. Before changed lot of noise and AWD and ABS lights were on. After change no lights until 5 days after AWD flashes but car runs fine. What wrong?

I suggest hooking it to a scan tool that will access the ABS/ BCM functions of the PC and find out what code it is showing. That will lead you to what the issue is.

Does an awd 04 Hyundai santa fe have a transfer case that needs to be checked separate than the transmission

Checked how? Some AWD drive cases are fed fluid from the transmission. Some are separate. I haven't seen any rebuilt yet. these cases aren't much. The controls are in the rear differential and transmission.

MY 2004 SANTA FE WILL NOT START IF GAS LEVEL IS A QUARTER TANK OR LOWER AND ALSO WHEN I FILL UP WITH GAS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON! SO NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG. ONCE IT SITS...

The Check Engine Light does not have to come on for someone to find out what is wrong. A shop may have to have the car for a few days so they can run some tests on your fuel and ignition systems. They will most likely have to drive the car/run the engine to duplicate the symptom so they can catch it while it is malfunctioning. Intermittent problems can be very elusive, but they can be diagnosed with a little patience. The level of your fuel gauge most likely has nothing to do with your starting problem.

I have a hard time starting my 04 Santa Fe after i fill up

it was running then you removed the gas cap to fill ( extremely dangerous practice with car running)
that indicates that there is a problem with the EVAP system.
run the fault codes ( what the dealers should have done first ) and check for the EVAP codes , purge vent or solenoid problems

I have a hard time starting my 04 Santa Fe after i fill up

The most common cause of this is thermal shock (gasoline is very cold out of the ground) to the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank, when the pumps get worn the decrease in temperature from the gasoline causes the pump to stick. This is a question I see fairly often, so I did research to see what the common cause is. Next time this happens have the fuel pressure checked.

05 Santa fe 3000 rpm vehicle stops, turn off wait restart runs like new

seems like engine goes to "save run" mode. the reason why is stored in the onboad computer usualy. have someone read that error code with an OBD interface, and act accoringly to that code.
