WHENEVER A/C IS TURNED ON A SMELL COMES OUT OF THE VENTS
SOURCE: 2008 Dodge Durango Transmission Problem
I would take it to a transmission shop and ask them to diagnose the problem but do NOT repair it yet. If the diagnostic shows something wrong, take the test results to the dealer and see if it is covered under warranty. If it is, they should reimburse you for the diagnostic as well as repair it under warranty.
SOURCE: blue smoke
sorry to say blue smoke is oil and with what you've described sounds like the oil rings on the pistons have given up the ghost, time for a new engine or a rebuild sorry for the bad news. valve stem seals are the only other thing that will cause exhaust smoke but only when you first start the car never while running. hope i have been of some assistance.
