Which radio do you have?

Do you have the RB1 with the LCD color navigation screen? Or one of the other radios with the vacuum fluorescent display?

If you have the RB1 and everything else on the radio works, it sounds like a blown backlight bulb. I have not been successful finding backlights. If it helps the RB1 is made by Alpine. Maybe Alpine can help.

If you have one with the fluorescent display and you are electronically adventurous, you can watch a video like this

Not for the faint of heart.

Or you could contact a business that repairs radios such as United Radio in New York. Repairs are often cost prohibitive on factory radios.

You may want to search EBay or CraigsList for a used working replacement.

One other solution is to try a radio reset by disconnecting the negative ground cable from your car battery for about 10 to 20 seconds.

Check fuses to radio.
check connector at radio.
if all that is good, radio is bad.

SOURCE: 2005 jeep grand cherokee radio

It's in the engine compartment IOD#2. It's a black module with two fuses in it. Take that module off and replace the 20 AMP one.

SOURCE: my signals and flasher quit working 2002, Jeep

in your vehicles owner manual, look up fuses, and flasher units or flasher relay. Fuses are normally located under the dash, but when both turn signals quit working it is usually the relay. The relay is located under the hood yours owners manual should show you the location.

Radio in 2003 jeep grand cherokee does not play cd's. it plays the radio stations, volume works, but it does not eject the cd or even recognize it .

you can look for a radio shop to repair the cd player it would be cheaper to install a aftermarket radio they do have kits if you have steering wheel controls

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Radio and tape player works fine. Inserted 10-cd magazine and can hear cd's loading, but no light display on radio when cd button pushed. Is this fixable?

yes but why fix a 12 year old player ? something else will just go wrong after that heck cd players are cheap today and fit right in that opening

I HAVE A 94 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE PUTTING A PIONEER DEH-1900MP STEREO IN AND WHEN I SHUT IT OFF THE STEREO WONT SAVE THE PRESET STATIONS

the problem is you dont have the battery wire on the radio hooked up to a 12v constant. it sounds like you have to take the battery wire of the radio and hook it up to a wire that stays 12v all the time even when the car is off.
