I am trying to use an app on my phone as my keyless entry remote and it asks me foe my cars sim id. what is that? And where can i find it?
For the keyless entry app to work, your car must already have a keyless entry unit installed. You don't say if this is so. I'm guessing the "SIM ID" you are referring to would be the individual electronic code the key fob transmits so every keyless entry fob won't unlock every car in the lot. I've not heard it referred ti as that. If you don't have a keyless entry unit installed, it won't work. If you do and it's a factory unit, you may be able to find it in your owner's manual but I doubt it. At least Ford didn't supply it in mine. If it's an afrter-market "Walmart" special, it may be impossible to obtain You may need to get ahold of your car's manufacturer. If your "SIM ID" actually referrs to something like General Motor's, (cell phone based), On Star system, you're out of luck as Dodge, to my knowledge, has no equivalent. I have only heard of a SIM ID as being associated with cellular phones.
Good luck.
