Can a remote start be installed in a car with NO KEYLESS ENTRY? no alarm system...just a key to open doors

Yes. After market remote start kits don't care about keyless entry or alarm systems. You will get a separate key fob to operate the remote starter.

I am trying to use an app on my phone as my keyless entry remote and it asks me foe my cars sim id. what is that? And where can i find it?

For the keyless entry app to work, your car must already have a keyless entry unit installed. You don't say if this is so. I'm guessing the "SIM ID" you are referring to would be the individual electronic code the key fob transmits so every keyless entry fob won't unlock every car in the lot. I've not heard it referred ti as that. If you don't have a keyless entry unit installed, it won't work. If you do and it's a factory unit, you may be able to find it in your owner's manual but I doubt it. At least Ford didn't supply it in mine. If it's an afrter-market "Walmart" special, it may be impossible to obtain You may need to get ahold of your car's manufacturer. If your "SIM ID" actually referrs to something like General Motor's, (cell phone based), On Star system, you're out of luck as Dodge, to my knowledge, has no equivalent. I have only heard of a SIM ID as being associated with cellular phones.
Good luck.

I just bought a new keyless entry remote and i need to program it. how?

Hello: The keyless entry feature was NOT a factory option available on the 1989 Cadillac SedandeVille. If you have keyless entry it has to be after market. you will have to find out who made the add on unit and how to program it. SORRY

Keyless entry doeasnt work

if its factory keyless entry, chances are your battery for your remote need to be replaced, the remote could also need to be reprogrammed... If it is an after-market system, there are several possibilities... wires could be pinched, the door lock solenoids could be broken or misaligned, the "brain" of the system might need to be reprogrammed.

Unlock doors without keys

The vehicle must be equipped with 'Keyless Entry" system. You didn't mention if your vehicle is equipped with it. If it isn't, there are 'after market' systems which you can install 'do-it-yourself', provided your door locks are electrical. If your door lock are 'manual', you cannot install a "keyless entry' system without replacing the door lock/unlock actuators & main wiring harnesses.
