How do you replace the wiper motor on a 98 rodeo

the front or rear, no way for me to guess?????
unbolt it and replace it.
start at the arms and work inward works.

ill toss coin land on front.
ill read the FSM online for you, so can you , but here ill do it.

Motor
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the wiper power motor connector (2).
  3. Remove 4 mounting bolts.
  4. Remove the nut of the wiper motor shaft, and disconnect the linkage.
  5. Remove the windshield wiper motor (1).
To facilitate the removal of the nuts, be sure to put out the tip portion of the linkage sufficiently through the mounting hole of the motor by sliding the wiper blade slowly.

my guess is this the most easy motor on earth to change.
its in plain view, not burried deep in a cowl.....

it's
easy-peasy-japanesy..

My rear wiper works only intermittently, and today the wiper stopped working mid-stroke, and I'm hearing a tapping noise from the inside of the lift gate near the wiper. I pulled the wiper fuse, but it...

Tried pulling the fuse for the washer fluid? Sounds like the wiper motor is failing or it doesn't have a good connection. Disconnect the battery at night to ensure you'll have enough power to crank it in the morning.

My front windscreen wipers have stopped working. The fuse has not blown and after looking on this website I can see it is recommended to run an earth wire from the battery to the motor. Could someone...

Get someone to help you with this problem. First thing you want to check the ground at the motor. To do this get a 16 gauge wire and go from the battery ground to the mounting bolt on the wiper motor, turn on the wiper motor to see if it will come on ,if not then using a test light disconnect the power plug from motor and insert the test light into the plug to see which one of the terminals come up hot. Mark the location and look at the end of wiper motor terminals and place wire from motor terminal to positive side of battery. if you get no movement from the motor then replace the wiper motor. If you do get movement from the wiper motor then you have a short /disconnected wire from wiper switch to plug. Go back and inspect wireing from switch to the wiper motor plug. Hope this will help you.

My front wipers do not work, the washer on the front and the rear wiper works fine, they are all on the same thing

HI. This is a possible motor issue. To confirm, use this procedure. it will help isolate the actual issue at hand.

1.Make sure the battery has a strong charge and is in good condition. Use a voltmeter to get a reading if necessary.

2.Connect a jumper wire between ground and the wiper motor. Turn the key on but don’t start the engine. Turn the wiper switch on. If the motor works, check for a corroded or loose ground connection.

3.Turn on the car key but don’t start the engine. Turn on the wipers. Check for voltage at the wiper motor with your voltmeter. If you get a good voltage reading, turn the key off and disconnect the motor from the wiper linkage.

4.Move the wiper arms by hand. If they are stuck, you have found the problem. If the wiper arms move freely by hand, go to step 5. If voltage is not reaching the motor go to step 6.

5.Remove the wiper motor by disconnecting the plug and removing the bolts using a wrench or ratchet. Use a pair of jumper wires to connect the wiper motor directly to the battery. If the motor does not work, replace it.

6.Turn on the key but don’t start the engine. Get a voltage reading across the wiper switch. If there is voltage, use a jumper wire to bypass the switch, if the motor works now, replace the switch, otherwise go to step 7. If there is no voltage at the switch, go to step 8.

7.Check for continuity at the wire between the switch and the motor. The wire could be loose or disconnected.

8.Check the wire coming from the fuse panel to the wiper switch. It could be disconnected or loose.

2005 ford expedition rear wiper

Sounds like a problem within the wiper motor not turning off at rest or not reaching it's rest point to be able to turn itself off, probably needs a new motor. Disconnecting it should have no relation to the front washer operation, you can confirm this by reconnecting the wiper motor to try.

Estate tailgate glass release button

I had the same problem with 2005 estate it used to open when starting the engine but does not unlock at all. The problem is the the sensor on the glass tailgate handle where the wiper arms is. It will cost around £70 from Jagaur themselves as I have just got one.
