I have a 55reg 1 series sport ans want my lights to come on when i lock and unlock my car how do i do this. I went to bmw ans had my follow me home lights put on my key fob and they still dont work.

IMMO does not allow, you to lose all keys, then buy one and start the car, in fact that it is A#1 PURPOSE. to prevent that.
How do you know it's the immobiliser, what tests have you done?
I suggest you try a BMW forum, but you'll have to be bothered to give a lot more info than you gave here. There are lots of things that it could be, the battery in the fob, the sensor ring, your car battery, the ignition switch, try another key etc etc BMW Forum BMWLand or http://www.bmwforums.info/
Hi, you have 3 options. Use either: 1. The key 2. The key fob trunk release button 3. The trunk release button by the drivers side door (car must be unlocked, or the ignition on)
engine management should read the transponder chip in your key and deactivate the alarm the battery in the key is charged while key is in ignition if the key hasn't been used for a while maybe its flat
you may have to go to the dealership and have re-programed to the receiver in the car or you may have a problem with the key fob or the receiver itself.they will be able to do this as it will have to be their equipment to program.
