Silicate base antifreeze comes in different colour's. The green antifreeze is the cheapest antifreeze out there but there only good for 30,000 miles and need to be changed if not once a year for it's short life against corrosion to aluminum (Radiator)  the orange colored antifreeze and Preston has this available in there line of antifreeze pre mixed 50/50 if your not sure how to mix them 50/50. Has a life expectancy of 5 years or 150,000 miles. Just make sure you keep it close as possible to 50/50 mix (50 antifreeze/ 50 water) If you have more antifreeze then water, it could gel up and cause over heating do to lack of coolant flow through the radiator. Good luck and hope this helps, a good thing to is to change the thermostat the same time you service the cooling system.

I have a susuki verona 2005 I'm getting error

Any Vehicle Codes can be found using Google
Just type OBD & the code
If you need more specific info, you add your vehicle
Most likely you failed to replace your front oxygen sensors
at 100,000 miles or you have a vacuum leak
NO CODES tell you to replace anything at all
Codes ONLY direct you to a fault in a system, then
you COMPONENT TEST THAT SYSTEM

I do not have my owners manual and need to know what coolant is required for my van. It has a sticker that says special coolant required see owners manual.

Hybrid OAT coolants, also known as HOAT antifreeze or G-05 antifreeze. This formulation also uses organic acids, but not 2-EHA (different organic acids are used). Hybrid OAT coolants add a small dose of silicates to provide quick-acting protection for aluminum surfaces. Hybrid OAT coolants are currently used by many European vehicle manufacturers as well as Ford and Chrysler.
As HOAT antifreeze ages, however, some of the silicates may drop out of solution. These particles can have an abrasive effect as they circulate in the cooling system, accelerating wear on water pump seals and plastic impellers, plastic radiator end tanks, or inside metal heater cores with sharply curved tubes. To avoid these kinds of problems, most HOAT-based antifreezes use stabilizers to keep the silicates in solution, and they contain only a small amount of silicates. HOAT-based antifreezes that claim to be "low silicate" formulas should meet the ASTM D6210 standard (which is a requirement for most late model diesel engines).
Like-OAT-based antifreezes, HOAT-based antifreezes also have a claimed service life of 5 years or 100,000 to 150,000 miles -- which ever comes first.

Dealer info from the VIN, probably a fee involved. No other known source.

What type of antifreeze does a 2000 yukon require

Hi, 50% mixture of Dex-Cool and water.
Other 'universal' extended-life ethylene-glycol based coolants are also acceptable but do not use 'green' coolant with silicate based corrosion inhibitors.
Take care

What kind of coolant does a cadillac deville use?

If you have the Northstar engine do not use ordinary coolant (the green stuff). You must use a long life silicate free coolant.
Dexcool was the original coolant used but there are many other brands to choose from now. It is usually a red-ish or pink-ish color (yellow if you choose the Prestone brand).
To clarify, make sure it states LONG LIFE or 150,000 miles on the label but more importantly it MUST be SILICATE FREE.
Mix the coolant 50/50 preferably with distilled water but clean tap water is ok.

Suzuki verona 2005 says silicate based

Peak and Prestone antifreeze are safe to use in all make and model cars. Regardless of year or what color antifreeze the car has in it already.

Mixing engine coolants?

toyota did some good research years ago .. they found that anti freeze that contain silicates caused excessive wear in the water pump seals .. most antifreeze at that time contained silicates .. so toyota developed their own type .. and they charged a lot for it .. it was red in color .. it was designed to last a long time and cut seal wear to a minimum (no silicates) .. so it was a good idea to use their super antifreeze .. now almost all antifreeze can mix with other types but do you reallly want to contaminate the expensive stuff already in your car with something that might contain silicates .. in this case toyota has a good reason for recommending certain types of antifreeze .. of course they used to recommend only their own brand but i hope that has changed .. i would use only long life antifreeze that is recommended by toyota or that states "contains no silicates" .. even buying their expensive stuff isnt so bad since it lasts so long and the echo uses so little. .. i am not sure what the new long life antifreeze contains ... did they ever address that problem ?..
