SOURCE: Volvo s40 rear doors wont open inside or outside

There is a child safety switch on the rear latch assembly that prevents opening from the inside handle. This switch may be on. Check your owners manual for more info.

SOURCE: how do i change cabin filter for 2004 volvo xc70

it is located underneath the passenger floor under the dash. Take off the side panel on the side of the center console, then take off the cover shield underneath the pass side dash. Once you remove the two pieces you can see a black cover. Its 3 bolts T25 torx will do the trick. Drop the black cover plate and the pull out you cabin filter. Put back together in reverse order.

SOURCE: volvo xc90 rear hatch door closed and won't open

Hold the hatch hard closed into its frame whilst pulling on the release handle. The mechanism on most cars consists a grab/release on the door and a simple metal hop at the bottom of the frame. Over time the hoop can become loose and move slightly inwards each time the door is shut. The door seal rubbers push back on the door surround putting a lot of tension against the grab/release mechanism preventing it from releasing. By pressing on the door and compressing the rubber surround you will take the pressure off the release mechanism and allow it to open when you pull on the handle. Once the door hatch is open, loosen the mounting bolts to the metal hoop and move it out about 10mm. Tighten the mounting bolts. Shut the door gently as a trial close and check for security of fit. If very slack, ease the hoop inwards a couple of millimetres. When happy, tighten the mounting bolts securely. draw around the hoop mount with indelible ink so if it moves in future you have early visual warning and can remount it easily

SOURCE: 2008 volvo xc70 service mode for rear electric brake calipers to push back

As far as I am aware this has to be performed at the dealer, or at least by someone who has access a fairly current version of Volvo's VIDA program

My xc70 Volvo shows a message "bulb failure

"position light" is a rear parking light which has failed or become unseated. Sometimes you can knock on the tail light housing and they will come back on, but they burn out shortly after regardless.

These and the low beam headlamps fail very frequently on these cars so you should become familiar with the replacement procedures.

How do you properly remove inside panel on driver door of 2004 volvo xc 70 in order to access the window to put it back on its track?

Look for hidden screws, around the edge of the door, inside the door pocket, under the pull close handle and 'in & around' the door handle lever.
Then with those successfully removed, the whole door card should slide either up, or in the door edge direction to remove.
Be careful not to be too heavy handed, as this will undoubtedly break plastic lugs/clips etc.
Then once you have removed the door card, familiarize yourself, with where & how it fits on to the door for reassembly.
I hope I've helped.
Good luck

Passenger door glass not connected to lift track

It is actually a fairly simple fix.

Open the door, remove the cover panel to access the inside panels.

There are 2 plastic grommets that attach to a slide track and the electric motor. The windo ride on the slide track.

It cost approx $10 for each grommet (you may only need the one)

I did it in a few hours (including running to the local dealer for the part) sorry do not remember the part number but the dealer will know.
