SOURCE: Broken Horn won't *******- 2003 Chevrolet Malibu

Hi. If your airbag has not deployed, you don't have to replace it. The airbag may have to be removed to get at the horn circuit. Try taking it to an independent auto repair place. I'll be willing to bet that they'll give you a better price for the repair. Good luck! ricardok45

Chances are you have a faulty clock spring in the steering wheel, you will most likely need to have it replaced.

SOURCE: Horn not grounded?

the clicking noise is the horn relay, this means in most cases the horn is defective and should be replaced.

SOURCE: 1992 chevy s10 no brake lights or turn signals

Check the front and rear (although probably the rear) turn signal bulb socket for corrosion and/or water intrusion. If you find corrosion attempt to clean (but you will probably have to replace the socket and bulb). For water intrusion you will probably have to replace the break lamp assembly.

SOURCE: 2000 Tahoe Horn broken

You can remove the horn relay and use a Ohm meter and check the resistance between the horn relay connector terminal No. 86 (Black Wire) and ground. If the ohms are less then 5 ohms replace the horn relay. There are a lot more tests but as Polarcycle states you can do what he suggested other then I believe you have two horns in this vehicle.

My horn honk everytme I turn my stirring wheel to the right or to the left!

sounds like your clock spring, this is an ugly device that allows you to turn your steering wheel without tangling your wires, you need to remove your air bag / horn button, these are normally attached with tamper proof screws then remove the steering wheel using a puller. then you have found the problem

Chevy malibu horn won't stop honking

Why not just unplug the horn rather than the battery? One wire plugs into it. The cause could be a number of things. (i.e. Horn button stuck in steering wheel, defective anti-theft system, etc....) This is a tough one to diagnosis.

I replaced the turn signal switch on my 93 chevy s10 and when i went to put it all back together, i broke the horn contact ring putting on the steering wheel. When I reconnected the battery, the horn...

the little contact could have bent and is sitting on the ring, you may have to bend it so it only makes contact when you push on the horn pad. things should fit easily if the force it things can get bent out of their original shape and cause issues.

97 Jetta GLS - Horn honks when I turn the wheel to the left

sounds like there is something in the wrong place in the horn button. it makes contact when you turn left just as if you had pushed the horn button. i wonder does your airbag light ever come on, i mean not just in the startup sequence, that's normal. probably you need to take the horn button part of the steering wheel apart and get things back in the right place or maybe replace some parts, but because of the airbag being right there too it's not something i would recommend that you do yourself. accidentally setting off an airbag is not a good thing.

2004 yukon horn problem

The steering wheel needs to pulled off, there is a short somewhere in there. Better have it done, cause if it isn't done right, the air bag can deploy.
