Door panel removal

What tools are needed to remove the front door panels on a 2006 chevy silverado 1500 standard cab manual windows and locks? I have seen conflicting videos some say it only has screws other talk about plastic clips. A how to would be great but not needed as i do have some body work background.

You need a special tool to remove the clip for the window handle. You need a special tool to remove the door panel there's clips all around the panel. There will be screws around the door pull and around door handle. Might be screws at bottom of panel. Use caution when removing door panel clips break easy.

SOURCE: change drivers side door panel on 94 chevy p.u.

unscrew the inside handle and pop of the window arm....then slowly work your way around the panel poping loose the plastic rivits on the inside edge...lift panel upwards to unhang it from window lip...thats the plastic panel...the metal panel inside that is pretty self explanitory..unscrew and take off the clips holding the controle arms to it and remove...do use caution as parts are very sharp and will slice your fingers and hands.

SOURCE: remove door panel

Remove the screws and lift up. There aren't any screws behind the window switch, it is screwed on from behind. There is a hidden screw behind the lock slider.

SOURCE: driver side window off track

2 sets (total 4) T30 Torx screws need to be removed.
The 2 holding the interior door handle grip / cup.
And then behind where the cup is, there are 2 more, that secure the door panel to the door.

FWIW, there are also 2 philips screws. One at the top, near the mirror. The second at the moveable door handle latch.

Lastly, of course, the standard "pop" sort of fasteners, around the perimeter on the 2 sides and bottom of the door panel. Also, there are 2 light blue plastic alignment posts (that do *not* fasten).

When re-assembling, make *sure* to properly catch / engage the door panel's top black plastic lip into the 3 hidden metal "U" holders, at the very top of the door panel.

How do you remove the front door panels on 2003

all door panels are the same only different!!! no really there usually is a screw at the handly and two or three around the armrest or whatever you grab to shut the door. check around the edge of the entire panel for any screws or clips then when all is removed there are clips that pull out to release the panel. start at the bottom and pull or if you have a pry tool use it to start moving the panel away from the door. any other specific questions please reply i will watch my emails and get back to you.

Need to remove door panel passenger. 1999 chevy 4x4 extented cab

Hello, I can help you with this.
Look toward the front bottom and remove that screw, then there is one at the armrest, then if you have manual windows use a hooked tool or a special door handle removal tool to release the retaining clip on the inside of the crank handle. With power windows, use a small screwdriver and carefully pry up on the switch assembly and unplug the connectors. remove that triangle shaped plastic piece at the top of the door trim, it just comes straight out, ( use a small screwdriver or putty knife to gently pry it out from the edge ) , once you are sure you have found all the screws, start at the bottom of the panel and pry it out, when the fasteners are out lift the panel up.

Need to remove inside door panel on drivers side 1999 chevy silverado z-71 3 door new body style

just pop out the triangle piece from the top at the top front of the door panel with a flat head screwdriver. Then simply pop out the door lock cover from the aft side and the door handle cover from the aft side as well. Then pop up your cap containing the auto door locks and windows and disconnect the cannon plugs. Then just remove 2 screws (1 from under the door lock/window cap and one just insde the door handle itself. You'll then life up and towards you to remove the panel. Don't pull it too far out because you'll still need to disconnect the speaker cannon plug and pull out the door open light at the bottom aft of the panel. You can then set the door panel off to the side.
