Typically, fusible links protect everything but the starter. I'd check them anyway & they're down at the starter. Also, make sure the engine isn't siezed,3.8's freeze all the time. Yes,that would mean the engine is toast. Also the transmission has a clutch in it & it could be locked in the on position. You can unplug the 4 pin connector in front on the trans & see if that makes a difference. Write back if you need more help

I have a 1994 buick park ave ultra.sometimes it turns on sometimes it doesnt but will later on,it wont even turn over.I replaced battery, starter, spark plugs n wire, ignition module n coils, and fuel...

Replace your key or try your spare often time the security chip is worn or not working properly if that isn't itand you can get it to turn on short the starter by taking a large screwdrived(makesure the handle is insulated either plastic or rubber) and touch both terminals on the starter if it starts its the starter relay. Could also be a bad ignition cylinder or loose connection at the ignition cylinder both of which would require removing steering column cover

I have Buick Park Ave. 1991. Automatic trunck

There is a motor on the bottom latch that goes bad. Make sure that the fuses are all good. They can be found on the driver's side left of steering column. On the cover if you flip it over will have a list of the fuses and what they go too. If they are all good, the motor is most likely at fault.

89 Buick Park Ave with no power going to the fuel pump and no spark at the spark plugs.

Check your ignition switch - not the cylinder but the switch located under the dash on the steering column. You should hear an eletric click when you turn the key.

Did you check the starter solenoid, or the relay? Also there is a starter or ignition fuse that may be bad.

Car wont start when i turn the key

The first thing you need to check is whether the key has a pellet in it or "chip". If it does...the problem is most likely your key lock cylinder. Go buy a new key lock cylinder....KEEP YOUR OLD KEY. Take your new lock cylinder down to any Chevrolet dealer to find out what the VATS number is for your key....then have the dealer cut you a new key with that same VATS number...then go to your vehicle and remove the negative battery cable...this does two things...1. It resets the computer after a five minute period of no power...2.. allows you to work on the steering column without power on it.

Remove the steering wheel with the aid of repair manual.

Put the new key lock cylinder with the wire running down the steering column. Then put the steering column back together....Hook up the negative battery cable, then use your new key that was CUT and your car should start
