Chevy fault code p1040

Are you sure the code is P1040 because I can find no info on that code. It corrects me on the search and says P0140

believe it or not , it might be an injector problem along with low fuel pressure and not electrical at all

- Faulty fuel injectors
- Intake air leaks may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks

Replacing the Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 usually takes care of the problem

run fault codes to find the reason for the engine light coming on

run fault codes and look for a TCM fault. have a pressure test done on the box to determine internal problems. Check band/clutch adjustments

I had that exact code a couple weeks ago. Mine needed new oxygen sensors. They(there are 2, only one was throwing a code, but I had both replaced) cost a little over $100 to have replaced.
