Merely dropping the battery is not going to cause

I highly recommend them...

SOURCE: 2008 nissan sentra has occasional starting issues.

Could be bad battery or Somthing going on with the main fuse box.  Another thing to check is your ground wires.  If they are loose, you can not complete the circut.

I had the same problem, after having the car towed to four Seasons, it was discovered that the electrical portion of the ignition switch was defective. Works like a charm. Part number 61 32 8 356 026 Hope this will help.

SOURCE: 2006 honda accord won't start

Hi there:
You will have to pinpoint what the engine is missing Spark / Fuel / Compression

All three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light. The injector gets unplugged and the noid light gets plugged in to the injector clip. With the engine cranking over, this light must blink. This is the signal to the injectors from the computer. You can have all the fuel pressure in the world, but it wont matter if the injector is not pulsing gas into the cylinder like it should.

Compression tester, spark tester, fuel pressure gage and noid light are all accessible at your local auto store. All three tests play a very important part in diagnosing a no start condition. Be extremely careful when doing these tests.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

SOURCE: titan will not start

I HAVE 2006 NISSAN TITAN SE AND ONE OF THESE DAY IT DID NOT WANTED TO START AND THAT HAPPEN A WEEK LATER AFTER I REPLACED ONE OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SO I SMELLED FUEL WHEN I TRIED TO START IT, SO I INSTALLED NEW SPARK PLUGS AND THEN STARTED NO PROBLEM, SO THEN I TURNED IT OFF, THEN I TRIED TO START IT AND IT DID THE SAME THING AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, SO I WAS PATIENT TO CHECK FOR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS, BUT EVERYTHING CHECK OUT FINE, SO I GAVE UP AND CALLED MY FRIEND WHICH IF A MECHANIC AND HE COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM SO HE RESET THE COMPUTER AND RELOAD THE SOFTWARE SO BASICALLY IT WAS A CORRUPTED COMPUTER

1999 Chevrolet Cavalier sedan - coolant is pouring out of the bottom. Can't find where it is leaking from. Replaced the thermostat.

Sometimes it can be difficult to determine the location of a leak when it is severe. The first thing to do is clean the affected area. For engine coolant, this can be done using water from a pitcher or garden hose. Next, slowly add more coolant to the radiator (only when the engine is cold) while watching for the leak to present. Note the general location of the leak whether it's the engine area or radiator area. Coolant leaks from the engine can originate from the water pump, gaskets or hoses. Coolant leaks from the radiator can come from the radiator or hoses. There are also coolant hoses that run to the bulkhead/firewall and coolant reservoir that could be leaking. In my experience the most common major coolant leak comes from a faulty water pump. When a water pump leaks it tends to get coolant on the serpentine belt which then slings everywhere! 03 chevy express 1500. The ignition is totally unplugged an the van still runs. But if u drive it an let sit for 5 mins. It will not start for about 20-30 mins. The security light is on.

As far as not being able to shut it off...there is an ign 1 and ign 2 from your ign switch. If these are somehow connected together the alt will continue to run the motor despite the fact that the batt has been disconnected from the system. I would check for something that has been added (perhaps a relay for radio or towing) is not allowing the two different circuits to de-energize after turning off the key?
The not starting thing...there was a time when the solonoid on the starter was made with alum wire. Perhaps you have one of these? Once it cooled down it would start just fine. Or you could install some kind of heat shield. It might work? Or just get one made with copper wire.

Chevy blazer problems

Does sound like the fuel pump if it started after tapping on it,but the security light is a different problem. That will also kill the fuel, but if you drove it home, that problem must have started after you got home. Not sure what year it is but if it has a chip in the ign. key,try a different key,if there is no chip run the pass key relearn .
Takes about a half hour, make sure the battery is fully charged and try to kill the daytime running lights if possible,(maybe set the parking brake, some trucks that shuts off the DRL)
Then crank the engine, leave the key on(as if it was running) after about 10 min the security light should go out. When it does turn the key off and crank it again, same deal, key left on for 10 min. till the light goes out. Have to do this 3 times ,should start on the 4th attempt. That will reset the security , but if the pump is bad it still may not start, the security light should be out tho.
When the pumps wear out the brushes you can get them to run once or twice by tapping on the tank, sometimes, but it sounds like a pump as in order.

Locating a leak in ride control for 03 yucon

Try spraying soapy water on the connections, then wait to see if the liquid bubbles up. Probably all you need. If it is a really slow leak can get a leak detector fluid for natural gas lines, but it costs about $8 at Home Depot. It stays on the connection and foams up if there is any leak at all.

1999 GMC Suburban 350 wont run

Per your description, it sounds like you are missing an injector pulse from the ECM.
Check the under-hood fuse box and verify the "ECM1" fuse is good (12 volt supply to injectors).
With the key in the run position, verify you have 12 volts at an injector.
Barrow or purchase a "noid" light to verify you have an injector ground pulse from the ECM.
Let me know what you find and we can proceed from there.
