Based on my research into this headlight it appears the dealer is correct.

Cant say i have done one as yet but i would expect you will have to remove the front bumper to gain access to the lower fittings

have a tester handy.unplug the light and then turn on the headlights.with tester on 12 volts test plug to see if you have 12 volts. if not the plug is properly corroded or shorted .

you need to take the cover off and they should be phillips ( 2 ) on the headlight mount

Behind the headlight, turn clockwise and pull on the plug, it will come out of the headlight assembly.

replacing the headlights is easy. There is no need to adjust the afs, is is automatically done within the vehicle. Changing the bulbs doesn't affect the afs system at all.

After removing the top and side bolts (which are obvious) Go to the fender liner. Remove all but the top screw . You will find (by flashlight or shop light) two bolts coming out of the headlight rear. With a socket wrench and 10mm socket, remove the two nuts on the headlight and pull out the headlight from the front after insuring the bulbs are removed and identified for reinstall. Take your time. It is not difficult.
