if it has resistors they will be in the heater box next to the blower motor. The air flow is used to keep the resistors cool as they can overheat and burn out.

remove knee bolster on the passenger side and find the ecm under the dash behind the glove box. some of these you can remove the inner glove box to give you more room. it is held in a bracket that you will have drop down and unbolt the holding fasteners that hold the ecm in the bracket then disconnect the plug connectors to the ecm.

Are you saying the piston will not compress ?

take off the glove box and reach in the dash just in front of the passenage air bag will be a green or black. it is about 3 inches by 3 inches

do you have after market CD player ,if you use power to it straight from battery rather than get it from ignition switch ,can happen

with engine of open either battery cable and put your d.v.o.m on amp in series(battery cable to one of the dvom,and the other side of it to same side of battery you opened),

see if you draw more than few Milli amp,then you either have short to ground.or some thing stays on like glove box light,ash tray light, or trunk light,light under hood,
or may be when you closing hood ,trunk or doors some wire get pinched and cause short to ground

in your fuse box and that is eaith in your glove compartment or under the steering wheel

The trunk release button should be located in the glove box. mine is a yellow button and yours should be too.

educated guess..flasher units (2) one for signals the other for emerg flashers usually located in fuse block under dash drivers side kick panel , glove box area ..or engine compartment near battery
