What do you look for when you have a 4.1L with TBI duel injectors and only one activates

Test the injectors to see if one failed

May also have to check the injector wiring end to end,
after all, you don't exactly have a fairly new vehicle

My 1993 Geo tracker fuel systen is not working, the injector is not spraying. now it is sprayin on the inside of the carborator and filling the carborator up.. how do i fix this problem//

there is no CARB on this car.
that must be the throttle body engine, TBI EFI.
1 injector engine not the 4 MPI engine.
G16a is TBI G1b is TBI and both sold day 1 , new.
its is supposed to spray, but you forgot to say when.
just key on over and over not running, (not spray is correct)
it sprays cranking and running,, that be its job1.

lets say it sprays key one.
That means:
1: injector leaks.
2: injector - o-rings are bad. (cracked)
3: ECU injector drivers shorted (bad ECU)
you can look at the inject on this car, air pipe off TBI horn.
see if the seals leak or injector tip leaks ?
if the injector actually leaks.
unplug the injector connector (4pin plug)
leak now.
yes, injector is bad or just o-rings
no, the ECU is bad. (common on this car)
i can even tell you which transistors are bad.... etc.....ask.

both engines covered here.

I just replaced my 5.7 vortec with a 383 stroker kept the tbI system,I get fuel all the way to the rails but not in the tbi

Fuel is most likely reaching the injector but the injector is not supplying the fuel to the throttle body. Check injector plug with a noid light to see if the light flashes indicating power and ground to injector. If no power check ecm fuses

Injector not fireing

you have a TBI 8valve engine. just like my 91
the injector , not firing, so by guy method.
1: it dont click? (sonic ,stethoscope)
2: the noid dont flash. (use a noid lamp and win)
3: it dont squirte, watching it with eyes, cranking,

if the noid fails, that means ECU is bad or one of 3 inputs to ECU are dead.
if noid works, that means, the injector is cogged, it has 10 micron screens that are easy to clean. or there is no 35 PSI fuel pressure.

here is the page just for that.
  1. THE ECU IS PROGRAMMED to cut fuel if there is no spark preventing TV like crashes and burns. (and other fire reasons)
  2. the tests are all easy. no order but #1 is #1
  3. fuel pressure at spec.
  4. injector coil reads 1.0 OHMS.
  5. injector clean. (there is only one, so all hope is just here)
  6. noid lamp fails , so is CMP dead? or TPS TP pin stuck high or , ecu throwing code 41./42s errors, BINGO!

Removel of injectors 1991 chevy 350 c.i. pick up

This repair is not that bad. ***NOTE: don't disassemble the TBI unit until you have purchased a new TBI gasket. The gasket is paper and when you remove the screws and pull the top half away, the gasket will tear.*** Remove the air cleaner housing and you will see the T.B.I. unit. Unplug both injectors, remove the torque head screws, and carefully pull the top have of the injector housing away. You now can remove the injectors. Just in case you don't know. If the fuel pressure regulator is original, this would be the time to replace it. I hope this helps, let me know how it went.

1995 chevy silverado 350 TBI V8 standard powerloss

have you checked the filter, i know you state the fuel lines are clear though. likely fuel injectors have lost flow. the TBI injectors can be cleaned, but i usually just replace them. but check them using a timing light hooked to the coil wire for timing of each injector spray. the pattern under the light should be even and conical shape, no major spatter. if one shows low volume, the other one should be replaced at same time, it will save you having to change it when you put brand new next to old one a have same problem again. only replace with brand new, i've had 7 bad remanufactured injectors on one truck at one point in time, only replace with new!

My 1990 350 tbi will not start. the fuel is getting all the way to the fuel injecters but wont come out

Make sure you are getting power to the injectors. I have the same,350 tbi. Check the fuses and relays and check the wires at the tbi to make sure one of them is not rubbed through. The injectors have to be getting intermitent power .
