Look in your manuel, there are steps to change the Key less remote setting to customize it the way you'ld like the car Key less system to work.
Good luck and hope this helps, if your still having problem. Just drive the Dodge dealer and ask the Service adviser to help you out, he or she would be more then happy to reprogram the key less system for you.

your horn is connected to the spiral which ibelive is cut just change your spiral check continuity on the wires if the spiral to confirm

How to disable alarm on 1999 dodge durango
Battery removal will not work. What will work is this: Use key to lock and then unlock driver's side door. I unclipped both horns at passenger side of engine compartment at front because they will go off while you are doing this procedure. I used this procedure last night after a rear passenger accidentally set of my alarm. I know this works! My vehicle is a 99' Durango.

unplug the wires on the back of the horn, it should be located on the fender. You have a short in your wiring somewhere. good luck

Keyless remote locks the doors but the horn does not honk. Horn works when panic switch is pushed on the keyless remote on my 97 town and country....please advise
I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. When I push the lock button it will lock door and set the alarm but the horn does not blow this is normal on my car. As Dodge is apart of Chrysler maybe it's the same for you, Unless in the past it did trigger the horn then the only thing I can think of is maybe there are different setting for your car. Check the owners manual. Hope this helps.

that does sound like you need a clockspring,the clockspring will still turn normally with no noises or any indication its bad ,but from what your describing it sounds like its not making connection internally all the time,i have replaced them for the very same reasons u have explained,hope this helps

The horn is a simple circuit. Check your fuse, and see if you get power to the horn itself. The remote start and alarm are separate problems, and probably need a technician to straighten out.
