The relay in your blower motor is stuck on, there is a TSB for this issue. Replace the blower motor resistor and you'll be back in business. How does the resistor get power if the fuse is pulled? Replacing the resistor will cure both problems. TSB is a technical service bullitin seen below Subject:HVAC Blower Motor May Run Continuously After Vehicle is Turned Off (Replace Blower Resistor Relay)Models:2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, TrailBlazer, TrailBlazer EXT2004 GMC Envoy, Envoy XL, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XLwith Manual Control HVAC (RPO CJ3)Built Prior to August, 2003
You probably have a bad connecting rod bearing, broken piston, worn piston wrist pin, a bad lifter or rocker arm. You could pull the valve covers to see if anything is broken. The others are in the motor.
I had this problem in a s10 blazer, it ended up being a badly corroded ground wire that actually connected to the blower at one of the mounting screws.
here is how to find out if blower motor is bad, locate blower motor under hood at firewall passenger side. Remove wire from blower. Get a length of wire long enough to reach from battery to blower. strip both ends of wire about an inch. attach one end to positive side of battery touch other end to blower motor terminal. This will spark a bit when touched. If motor doesent run and you are sure both ends are connected replace the motor about 45 bucks at auto zone.
