Error code p0650

OBD II codes are specific to manufacturers and often specific vehicles. A Hyundai Accent P0650 may not be the same as a Hyundai Sonata P0650 because Hyundai loaded more diagnostic codes into the upscale Sonata.

Check with AZone or similar, they'll tell you the code description, and give you possible suspect causes to check.

Computer code P0650

P0650

Description
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Output drive moduels (ODM's) are used by the powertrain control module (PCM) to turn on many of the current-driven devices that are needed to control various engine and transaxle functions. Each ODM is capable of controlling up to 7 separate outputs by applying ground to the device whish the PCM is commanding ON. Unlike quad diver modules (QDM's) used in prior model years, ODM's have the capability of diagnosing each output circuit individually. DTC P0650 set indicates an impropervoltage level on the output circuit that control the MIL.

P0302 and p0650

well P0302 is a general code(same across all brands)
Cylinder #2 misfire
P0650 states: Malfunction Indicator Lamp(MIL) control circuit

Misfires can have more than 1 issue with them. the next thing to check after your plugs is the COP (coil on plug) if applicable or the plug wires.
after that the injector, with a noid light. this light safely test the injector without interfering with the circuit or the part.
If you have wires(distributor and wire coming from it to the plugs) just replace 'em your vehicle is older and may have a lot of miles on it.

What does code 1-p0650 mean?

P0650 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is located on the instrument panel. When the ignition switch is turned ON without engine running, MIL will light up. This is a bulb check. When the engine is started, MIL should go off. If MIL remains on, the on board diagnostic system has detected an engine system malfunction.

Possible Causes:
  • Harness or connectors (MIL circuit is open or shorted.)
