SOURCE: Theft of 2004 Honda Civic

since the ignition key cylinder wasn't damaged, i can think of a few possible sernarios.

- a tow/repo truck was used

- if you bought the car used, the previous owner had a copy of the key and used it to gain access and start the car.

- if you have taken the car to a honda dealership for service/repairs, someone at the dealership may have encoded (the transponder on) a duplicate key. they would also have no problem looking up your address.

P1259 is a code for vtec malfunction usually cause by a bad vtec solenoid, vtec pressure sensor, low oil level, bad connection. Was oil change done? May want to check the oil level. P1166 is a code for a primary o2 sensor 1.
