Check your fuel pressure. For fuel injection, it should be 9-12 p.s.i. Your fuel pump is located in the tank. You might have to install an adapter fitting to hook up a pressure gauge. This can be installed inline at the throttle body or at the fuel filter. The fuel filter is mounted on the inside of the frame rail. You might just remove the fuel filter to see if you can blow through it. If you can't blow through it, it is plugged up and that may be your problem. You will need two wrench sizes to disconnect the filter 20mm and 16mm.

SOURCE: 2001 monte carlo ss. Rear wheel bearings making a grinding noise

It is pretty easy, there is not much labor involved if it has anti-lock brakes in the rear you will also have to un-plug the wire harness attached to hubs.

I recently replaced a rear brake line on my 85 ss monte carlo. I went to bleed the line and nothing came out. I attempted to bleed the other side and no fluid came out. When I replaced the line fluid did...

It should not be a mystery. Loosen one of the fittings on your new line to see if brake fluid is present. If so, the problem lies downstream from that point! Good luck!

Bleed rear brakes on a 1979 monte carlo

It should be the same as any other car, you find the bolt on the brake pad or drum that connects the line to the system (it will look like a nipple) then loosen it,. This is a lot easier if you have another person. You have the second person push down on the brake peddle three quick times and then slowly push it in until brake fluid squirts out from the bolt. Then tighten the bolt back up and repeat for all brakes. Note: you may need to put in more brake fluid when your done and the process may need to be repeated it all the air doesn't come out of the lines.
