Have you changed your spark plug wires and distributor cap? You might have a spark jumping from a bad wire or distributor cap. Under acceleration, the amount of air/fuel in the cylinder increases and this may make it harder for a spark to jump across the plug gap. It may be finding a different path, and that is what's causing your engine to run rough. Spray water over your spark plug wires in a dark place and listen to see if your engine runs rough. Look for where the spark is jumping from a wire or distributor cap.
1. Error Code 24. Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
Solution: Check the following:
- IAT Connector and wiring.
- Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
- ECM. 2. Rough Idling when the engine is hot. The following are the reasons due to which the engine can perform bad when it is hot.
- Fuel pump control circuit.
- Fuel pump pressure.
- Fuel injectors.
- Non Return Valve clogged, located on the lower side of car chassis above the fuel tank.
- Engine compression, valve clearance, spark plugs.
cylinder 1 getting too hot causing ceremic crack could have wrong heat range plug in which spark plug too hot.or need replace spark plug wires.one plug wire could be bad best replace all spark plug wires.
If you put the wrong wire on a spark plug, the engine will not start, or if it does, will run very rough. It is ******* the engine. Get the correct firing sequence from a mechanic or a website and get the wires on the correct spark plugs.
If you are talking about the wrong cable type, I am not sure.
did you just replace the plugs or replace ignition wires, rotor, and cap (or) ignition coils if applicable? and you check whether its fuel or spark problem by running the engine and taking the plug wire off the spark plug and seeing if there is spark and noting any change in the engine, if the engine runs rough(er) or stalls then you know there is no problem spark related with that cylender, if no change occours when you take the plug wire off the plug then you know there is either a no spark condition (you will be able to see if this is the case) or if there is spark and it is a fuel problem. self explanatory, if everything you test for passes then you probably have internal engine damage. recommended that you use rubber grip pliers when you take the plug wires off while the engine is running, do not ground yourself. Hope this helps! Joseph.
Okay disconnect battery for 3 min to reset engine light to turn off! change wire #2 to #3, Swap them then start it. if misfire happens again if your fault codes goes from po302 to po303 then your ignition wires should be changed!!! if it is the same the that side of coil might be at your point of interest to change but I think spark wires might do it!!!! spark plugs should be the same time!!!! I think this will help??
generally, when the engine is washed, water gets trapped behind the spark unit and stays there, creating a shorting path for spark plug current. best to dis-mount the spark unit (follow plug wires back to source) and dry and clean it thoroughly.
