Rear Wiper does not move

The motor works but the wiper arm does not. I removed the wiper arm cap and found that the bushing that attaches to the motor spindle is cracked. The whole wiper arm assembly will most likely need to be replaced.

U can buy just the bushing for it. As long as the motor is working, only a few bucks..

It sounds like the motor might have to be replaced. Is that what you wanted to know?

I replaced a wiper motor on a 2003 cavalier. After replacing it. The wiper arms swing down before going up across the windshield.I want to know what do in need to adjust so the wipers work correctly.

The part that is attached to the wiper motor is in the wrong location. Remove the nut or bolt that attached the wiper transmission to the motor and remove the short arm from the wiper motor. Turn the wiper motor on and then off. wait until it stops moving. Set the wiper arms to the correct "home" position. Reattach the wiper transmission arm to the wiper motor.

My windshield wipers wont work.

It Sounds Like, Either The Arms Are Loose ,If You Can Hear Something Moving Behind The Dash,
Or The Linkages Are Seized ,If The Motor Just Hums No Movement Heard,In Which Case Try Spraying Q 20 On The Linkage And Try Moving The Wiper Arms By Hand To Get It Going Again,
If Not The Motor May Just Be Burn;t Out.

Driver wiper not working

Yes. Immediately in front of your windshield is a panel about 3 or 4 inches wide and that panel, which is the same color as your car, goes from one front fender across to the other one.
That panel, which has many vent holes or louvres in it, also has 2 holes for your wiper arms and blades, where they attach.
That panel will come off, sometimes you have to remove the whole hood of the car to get it off.
(You have to take both wiper arms & blade assembly off first.)
You will then find the linkage from the wiper motor to the driver's wiper arm/blade is disconnected.
(The wiper motor is about the size of your fist, and has a few wires attached to it.)
Probably a plastic bushing has fallen apart on the connecting link.
You will need to get a new or good used connecting link and attach it.

  1. Install or connect the following:
    • The wiper arm on the wiper motor shaft in the park position with the wiper arm resting on the park ramp

      1. Tighten the nut. Torque to: 17 ft lbs (23 nm)
    • The cap on the wiper arm

---
The wiper motor hopefully is ok, but if the wiper arms were not mounted at the right spot, it could have damaged the motor as it returned to the rest position, unfortunately.

If there is noise, the noise could be coming from the wiper arm joint being stripped out or the motor itself assuming that the ball joints under the hood and behind the firewall are still connected.

Check these items, and I'm sure you will get to the bottom of this.

Good luck on this repair.

I have one wiper that does not work the other stops in the middle of the windshield how can i fix them

The motor could be bad, but it's likely that the ball joint connections under the hood area under the cowl have become disconnected for the one windshield wiper arm.

The connection of the arm that moves should be checked for being at the correct angle for parking.

Wiper motor linkage

Flip the caps up from bottom of wiper arm to expose where they attach to pivots. There should be a nut holding them on, try snugging that nut up a bit & see what happens. if it helps, remove the nuts, pry the arms off, and clean inside where spline etc., is and re-attach arms in proper(same) spot and tighten nuts again, but be careful not to tighten too much & snap the stud.
