Power windows all stopped working

None of the power windows work from any of the window controls. None will roll down. 25a circuit breaker tests good from passenger side fuse box. Pulled the window switch off of the driver side main control. Tested the copper on the switch and it seemed to test good. Maybe the switch is bad? Any other possibilities? I don't have the money to throw at random parts...

Maybe a broke wire inside the rubber boot from the body to the door ! See this a lot. Opening an closing the door a million times . Do you have a volt meter ? Pull the switch from the door an test for B+ voltage on the brown wire at pin G connector 1 The other window switches get B+ from the drive door switch . Also check the ground , black wire pin B connector 1 . Do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ?

Look at the end of the dash and between the drivers side door for a second fuse panel. I think everything you mention works on one data bus. You can remove the button pad on the drivers door. Since it gets used all th3 time i# might have gone bad messing up the works.

My front passenger window stopped working. We've checked the fuse, replaced the switch and the door lock button works but not the window. Could this be the motor?

After I verify both driver window control switch and the passenger wdo control switches don't cause the window to operate, I turn off engine and go on ACC Mode and listen for a relay clicking in the door or the BCM while you operate the switch. If you hear a click, then it's a bad wdo motor.

Does the Driver Window Status Data parameter display an active state?
Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . For both problems .

The power window system will operate anytime the retained accessory power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The DDM contains 4 power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the 2 front windows have 3 positions Up, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only 2 positions, Up and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position.
The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has 2 positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM.
The 2 rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors.

My 97 GMC Drivers window goes down but not up. If it turn the power on and off it will roll up, however when it goes down the "auto" kicks and and wont stop. When it reaches the bottom the...

With some makes and models, there is an auto down module for express down, it can be part of the driver door master switch.
With express down, when the window gets to the bottom, the module may sense over current, then interrupts voltage.
On some vehicles that had problems with window motor, I have touched power window circuit breaker, this one was metal, hot as it could be. The circuit breaker will trip when it gets hot and none of your powers will work. Once the circuit breaker cools down, it may reset and the windows will work again.
If you bench tested the new window motor on the bench, with jumper wires to battery, It will probably run as long as the jumper wires are hooked up, nothing to shut the voltage off. Just my opinion.

Power windows stopped working

The windows operate off a window relay amd a circuit breaker only. The circuit breaker is in the fuse box and it is made with a metal housing
